Our kitchen refrigerator's freezer was getting overcrowded (we were out of room!), so I began looking at a small, dedicated freezer for certain frozen foods. I wanted something relatively small that wouldn't consume a lot of space, and I liked the aesthetics of the Danby freezer. We ordered it, and had it in just a few days. It arrived on our doorstep, and we brought it in, unboxed it, and had it powered-on in short order. The hardest part of the process was unboxing the freezer. We gave it 24 hours to get to temperature (probably longer than it really needed), and it's been running strong for over a month now. If there were one thing that would make it even better, it would be some internal lighting.

This small freezer is the right size for my needs. I haven’t had any problems with the freezer the past month since delivery! The freezer is placed in the garage!

So far I love this freezer; I’m so sorry I didn’t buy it sooner. It’s the perfect size for a one or two person household and It’s nearly silent in operation. I placed a thermometer inside and consistently get -5F temp. This upright model makes everything so easy to find and it’s got a generous 5 year warranty and coldness selection dial. Some things to be aware of: the cooling coils are built into the bottoms of the shelves. This really keeps the foods frozen but does not allow the shelves to be adjusted. It’s not frost free so you will need to defrost it once or twice a year depending on how much you open and close it. Manual defrost is actually better in my opinion because unlike frost free it has no blower motor and is so quiet; also because it doesn’t go thru automatic defrost cycles, ice crystals barely form on your foods. Perhaps the only minor annoyance is that there is no interior light. It’s a small freezer but the addition of a bright LED bulb inside would still have been a nice touch.

Very quiet. Door seals with vacuum when closing so no air leaks. Temperature setting easy. Coils in shelves assure even temperature. Size is counter height so can be used in many locations. Ours is in a corner of living room. Good purchase for us.

Purchased this Freezer through the Best Buy Website. It had all the particulars I needed to know about the Freezer and it included Free Shipping and the price was just right. I am totally happy and very satisfied with my purchase and being short in height the Upright Model is just right for me. No bending over to dig up what's in the bottom. My concern was falling into the freezer & since I live by myself, I'd be in trouble. I know this sounds funny but there's always the possibility with us short people. The freezer is working just fine; just the right size, works great, am totally satisfied it & am in love with my new Freezer. Thank you Best Buys for always having what I need.

This freezer has greatly expanded our frozen food capacity, allowing us to take advantage of buying opportunities. The upright design means that it is easy to see what you have - nothing gets buried at the bottom. The coolant coils are built into the shelves, so I assume it is more energy efficient as well. Overall it is a great value.

So, far, am loving it. Did have a bit of damage towards the back when received but only cosmetic. Love the size and the fact it opens from the front, not a chest freezer. Good for 1 or 2 people who need just a bit more freezer space.

It arrived in perfect shape. Quick delivery. And works wonderful. It’s the perfect size for our garage and storage is excellent for our small family.

Details given me in the ordering process were false. The item was shipped several days early, without checking whether we were ready or wanted it early. It was placed on the sidewalk in front of the entrance after dark. I then learned no installation would occur although I had specifically been told (check your recordings) after I directly asked, was told everything would be "set up and running" when delivery was done. My wife and I, (both aged 90s) managed to wrangle the freezer into our entry to prevent it possibly being stolen during the night.
