When I first played Darksiders on PS3, me and my friend instantly loved the series, and when I heard the game was ported over to Switch in a remastered version, I had my doubts at first, but I am happy to say those doubts were misplaced. The game runs great on the Switch, and with its two options for either Performance or Quality, this game is a win for everyone. Although I noticed only slight changes between the two modes in terms of visuals, when it comes to frame rate, that's where the options shine. When playing on Performance mode, the frame rate goes up to 60 FPS with some slight dips in areas with a lot of enemies, and the graphics become slightly blurry, but not enough to ruin the experience. When playing on Quality mode, the game goes down to 30 FPS, but the graphics and textures become crisp and detailed without that blur getting in the way. Personally, I prefer Performance over Quality, but for others it will be great to have this game either way. Would recommend!

The game itself is really good. Smooth combat, fun enemies and OK story. Having it on the switch is definitely great. This one of the more impressive ports from last gen to the Nintendo Switch. In the options you have a choice between “High Quality” and “High Performance” 30 FPS 720p or 60fps 480p undocked. The graphics aged well and looks impressive on the Nintendo Switch screen. This is the first time I’ve played this game.

This game is like God of War and Legend of Zelda combined. It has great graphics and sound. The controls are perfect. It has the option to get a steady frame rate or better graphics detail. Most of the game is action based with some puzzle elements. Recommend for people who like God of War or Zelda games.

I am very happy that this game was ported to the switch. It is a very good hack n slash game. The port itself is also done well. I like how there is two modes to dictate performance. I was able to choose from performance or quality. I mostly use performance because I prefer the smooth frame rate, but even then the game still looks good on the handheld.

Game play and story are good in this game. I enjoyed the hack and slash/action adventure and it's a plus having it portable on the Switch! One neat fact about this game is that there was a misprint; the spine on the game case is black, all other Switch games have a red spine.

This is the third version of the game I've purchased and enjoyed. The original Xbox 360 version was one of my favorite Zelda style games I've played. When it was remastered for the Xbox One, I immediately purchased it and enjoyed the simplicity of it compared to more recent games. Having just purchased a Nintendo Switch, I was happy to hear I'd now have the chance to play this game whenever I'm away from home or on the road! It plays well and looks great. Haven't encountered any performance issues.

This game runs pretty good on the switch, good game play and good graphics..fun game to play on portable mode and dock mode

I bought this game because I wanted a button smasher. Button smashers are fun and this game is fun. The story is simple, which is fine with me. You play as one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse who has to go around and defeat demons. This simple story that allows the player to go around and defeat enemies. I am sure I left good portions of the story out but I am not interested in the story as I am in mindless fun. And this game is fun! The graphics are very good with vibrant colors. The controls work well, even though it can be a little frustrating trying to aim some weapons as an enemy is attacking. I am sure it will require more practice. Overall, if one wants a fun, mindless game, Darksiders is a great choice.

I beat this game a while ago for the first time and I have to say Darksiders is fantastic! Performance on the Switch is GREAT. You can toggle modes to get 30 or 60 fps. I played most of the game on 60. Combat is fluid and the game is constantly introducing more story and game mechanics. I really love it and I can't wait for Darksiders II to come to the Switch.

I actually own this on the PS3 as well. This game has a fun story about one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse that is battling against angels and demons. Outside of the core game mechanic of a hack and slash action game, it also has many dungeons that you can easily draw the comparison that it is similar to Zelda style dungeons. Even though I already own the game, I wanted the ability to play it again on the go.

Darksiders is the first game in the Darksiders trilogy. The game is a third party action title centered around one of the four horseman of the apocalypse. This title is incredibly well-made and still holds up well today. And since this title is now out on the Nintendo Switch, it's an excellent title to take with you on the road as well.

Played this back on PS3 when it was originally released. Don’t remember much of a difference, but the gameplay is the same and still fluid. It’s amazing to see how the Switch can handle the detailed graphics. And the frame rate is consistent. I enjoyed playing through this game again. And the price tag was very affordable for an older game.

Everything about this game screams amazing. The controls and graphics are amazing, the devs took their time creating this. If your an early buyer you may have gotten the all black spine on the cover. This is a printing error ! kinda cool. newer later releases look red like normal.

A great port for a great game. If you’ve played on of the other versions of this game you have played it before. But now with the capability to play on the go. If you’re a fan of both God of War and Zelda you’ll probably enjoy this game.

Really enjoyed my time with this! The story/lore aspects are really what drive me. As a Christian, the Christian/Revelation overtones are really superb! Working my way through. Would recommend to fans of action style combat!

This is a good port & surprisingly still plays well! I’m really enjoying this game all over again & You will not be disappointment if your a fan of this series & port. I Cant wait (Hopefully) for a Darksiders 2 port!

This is one of those games that once you start you can hardly stop playing. The game play is fluid and the story line keeps you wanting to continue on. Upgrades keeps you exploring the map and engaged. Great game!

This game performs well on Switch and looks great, with options to improve either performance or graphics. It has fantastic action, superb voice acting, engaging puzzles, plus collection and customization elements. For $30 this is a great pickup.

This is my first time playing Darksiders 1, but I have completed 2 and 3. A very fun hack n slash game with some fun puzzle elements. The combat was by far my favorite part of the game. The switch version was excellent. Two gameplay modes allow for 720p resolution and 60 fps or 1080p and 30 fps. I chose the 720p/60 fps option and loved it. Ran silky smooth and looked good in 720p. For the price, it's a must buy for fans of this type of game. Fingers crossed for the sequel to be ported.

Every since Darksiders was first announced a decade ago, I've been all over the internet looking for every bit of info I could find, given the fact that I'm a fan of the series Artist and Creator, Joe Madureira. Now that it's been released on the Switch, my journey continues as I now have the pleasure of playing this great title. Whether it's your first go at it or you've been through it before, the Switch edition is worth your dollars.
