I have been using Best Buy car installation department since 2008 and always they do the best install with no problem. I just had my car dash cam installed to my brand new car. The installation process went very smoothly.

Ruben did an excellent job! I came with my old dash cam-Thinkware but since its the old version Ruben recommended the Nextbase. He is very thorough in explaining the new dash cam, from setting up to viewing the footage. He is very friendly and respectful. Overall, he is very knowledgeable. Thank you again Ruben!! See you

This was a great decision to have it installed by professional. First of all, since i have the Total support, no charge for installation, which would have been DEFINATELY WORTH THE COST ANYWAY. No figuring out angle of screen. I was given the option of plugging into cigarette lighter or paying for hard wiring it in at a nominal charge ($40 ?) Which I chose. No wires dangling to get caught on feet and trip. Immediately upon entry it turns on. INSTANT PERFECTION , in just about an hour. Compared to cost at dealer, this is almost a steal. The installer was pleasant, professional and immaculate as to not leaving debris in vehicle. Couldnt ask for any better. So, if you are put off by waiting time of days till you can have installed... wait, it is definately worth it. 10 stars if i could.

The Geek Squad mechanic went above and beyond what was asked of him to help install my dash cam. I had scheduled to only install the front camera as I needed it hardwired to my car's electricity, and had installed the back camera myself, however my wiring was messy and a bit unsightly. Even though the mechanic did not need to do so, he helped tidy up the wiring so that it was out of the way and would not get messed up when opening/closing the trunk. The front camera was also installed perfectly.

Scheduling appointment is HARD. I call the customer service at this store and he told me that I have to do it online. I chat with best buy online and the customer service rep told me that I need to call for scheduling appointment. It took about TWO hours just to schedule the appointment which is ridiculous. However, the technician (forgot the name....may be James?) who installs dash cam on my car is awesome. He is nice, easy to work with, and very professional. FIVE stars are for the best buy technician who installs dash cam (outstanding service). ZERO or even negative star for the appointment scheduling process. The customer service located at that store should help with scheduling appointment rather than having me to deal with customer reps online and on the call.

The person who did my dash cam was very nice and super easy to work with. He called me to let me know that I could come in earlier for the appointment if I wanted to, and he installed the dash cam very quickly. He also communicated and explained everything to me very well. 10/10 experience I will definitely be going here again!

This service was great. The downside was that it took a while to get an appointment on the weekend. At my first appointment, the tech called to advise me that the dash cam I bought required the rear cam to be permanently drilled into the trunk lid. I stupidly hadn't realized that when I bought it. I was so thankful he contacted me because my car is a lease! The tech then showed me on the website what to look for in a different dash cam and he was able to me in the following weekend. The install was completed on the next visit and it went flawlessly. The cost of this install was also far below other quotes I got. I know you can do it yourself but I just didn't feel confident to do it. Convenience was worth the price.

I searched everywhere to get my dashcam instaled. After checking 2 different Best Buys i found one further then i hoped. It was a drive to get there and it was worth it. The auto rech giy was amazing. He took his time, asked me for my input. I'll glady make the drive to get him again.

The installation was very professional the wire is not hanging out under my dashboard like other companies. The service was great. Very good customer service.

My installer (Joshua C.) was extremely courteous, walked me through what he'd be doing, that all the parts and pieces were included with my unit (Cobra), and that it would take around 1.5 hours, give or take a few minutes. He informed me of 2 waiting areas in the store, both near restrooms, and said he'd call my cell if he needed me. An hour and 5 minutes he called to say the installation was finished and I could come to the service area and pick my car up. He gave me a brief tutorial on how the device operated, and that more info could be obtained online when I registered the device. I drove away happy with this installation. The service technician was the highlight of this installation. I can highly recommend the BB installation service.

I can say it was a honor to go to Best Buy to have my dash camera installed and wired I have had not one problem. Thank you guys for your work will continue to shop with you all.

The installer used some kind of new adapter to hook up my dash cam, when I went to back out of the bay I realized my backup cam wasn't working. I brought it back in and he narrowed the problem down to the adapter. He tried a new one and everything seemed to work. I started driving down the road and the dash cam started turning off and on every time I hit a bump so I turned around and went back. The installer said this was the first time using these adapters so he was going to install it without the adapter. He cut into some cables and soldered the connections and re-wrapped the cables. I was very impressed with that as most installs I've had in the past just used crimp on splices for everything which work but they will never last like a soldered connection.

Before going to Best Buy , I went to some shops and got the price for installation of my dash cam. The other shop gave me triple price and when I came to Best Buy , I immediately decided to book appointment. I really enjoyed people working there , they were helpful and friendly. They also helped me to clean my car for free! I couldn’t believe how kind they were, but they did everything for me. Thank you

I purchased a Kenwood dash cam from Best Buy and ordered a professional installation. The tech did a good job and in less than 90 minutes I drove away with a basic setup on the cam. A short tutorial later, I drove home and went through the complete setup which required removing the camera and attaching it to my computer. It was then I discovered there is a new firmware download available. Online instructions from Kenwood were easy to follow, but when the firmware installation was finished, I had to completely set up the camera again. Fortunately, the tech had mentioned those items he changed during the install so it didn't take long to restore the configuration.

The dashcam installation was easy. And quick! I waited in the home theater section of the store while they finished up.
