    Deeper into Jazz

Nora's work has been an interesting blend where rock/country/jazz meet. In this album she explores the Jazz side a bit more. I quickly found I liked it. We might not hear any of the songs on the radio as there are no "stand outs" as singles. However, there is variation in the composition and they work together to build solid album. That is one of the reasons I still like listening to CD's rather than a "tossed-salad" of radio-style downloads. I am happy to add Day Breaks to my collection.

After the Billie Joe + Norah effort (which was absolutely fab), Norah returns to the bluesy-jazz sound. While I didn't find anything terribly compelling in this album, I think it presents a cohesive subdued sound that would be great for background music or a chill evening at home.

This is yet another musical success by Norah Jones. Ms. Norah Jones paints another beautiful canvas. All fans and novices of Ms. Jones will thoroughly enjoy this musical achievement and eagerly await the next chapter.

    Back To The Roots

This record sees Norah Jones turning back to what initially made her sound so appealing; from jazz junkies, industry experts to music fans and lounge lovers. Nevertheless the album feels new and unexpected, a little dark, a little careless, a little feel good - this is the Norah Jones we all love. Best track: #10.

Classic jazz singing at its best

I view Norah Jones as a true jazz singer. She would be equally at home with an orchestra behind her or in a dark, smokey club. She has a classic, classy voice that never disappoints. Strong material with a great voice and range and fantastic phrasing and captivating.

Wouldn't call it a standout CD, but as with her previous albums, it's well performed, interesting, and well recorded. Not every day listening, but something to return to.

I have seen her perform 3 times so far. Love me some Norah. This does have some throw back to her first stuff but she still expands her style.

More of a revisiting than a "return"

Yes, she goes back to piano for the songs, but it's not like she's trying to relive the moment of Come Away with Me. She's obviously learned a lot since her debut, and it shows. The title track is my favorite.

This is my second Norah Jones CD and I recommend it to anyone that liked her first CD. Nice mellow music that is easy to listen to.

Nora Jones is getting back to doing the slow jams. Unlike her second album which was kinda rock. The first album was excellent.

If you want to get away from it all and mellow out this is the CD to listen to. Very pleasant and easy to like. It's been a while since her last recording; the wait has been worth it!

They are hyping this as a return to her first cd, but I can't relate to that logic. Honestly, it's just a great release from a very talented artist and you should listen.

Good tunes from Nora Jones. She does a song written by Neal Young and one by Duke Ellington.

Norah Jones returns with her blue, melancholy tunes in her follow-up compilation. Her dissolution is palatable in her velvet, late night, club vocals.

Nora is on tour in 2017. I plan to hear her sing some of these songs live. You need this CD to get fired up. All of her music is superb.
