Why is this transfer so dark?

The 4k transfer is very dark compared to the Bluray. I would have tolerated it if the audio had been upgraded to Dolby Atmos, but with no audio upgrade the inexcusable darkness of the transfer makes this release a massive disappointment. I love this movie but what Criterion did here is shocking.
