I love playing dead space epically when I was a kid this game gives you the chills and excitement to keep playing just upset they not going to released the part 2 on PlayStation 5

Definitely the scariest game I have ever played but one of the most enjoyable and engaging. A great story and gameplay that is unlike anything I have tried before.

If you played and liked the original, then you'll love this version. Plus it looks fantastic, with added features.

Great game tense gameplay. Bought at release with little to no bugs

The lore has been expanded. The game play refined and side quests added. The graphics are beautiful, I was especially impressed by the lighting. The sound design is equally as impressive and adds greatly to the immersion. Overall it is a fantastic game and the right way to do a remake.

Absolutely terrifying! So glad I purchased the physical copy so I can pass on the fear to my friends, and I would recommend they purchase as well. The scenery, mood, weapon selection, character design, and animations are all well thought out and designed to make this game scary. If you’re not into anxiety stricken moments of panic then do not purchase this game. The direction is very cinematic that if your friend or significant other doesn’t like to play but likes to watch the game play out, they will not be disappointed. The storyline has great twists and heartbreak. The gore is an 8.5/10 not the most gruesome I’ve seen but it’s UP there. Not a game for children, but an excellent experience for sci-fi horror fans. Cinematic and terrifying like you’re playing in the movie Event Horizon. Really really great all round. Activision, didn’t know you still had it in you. Granted it’s a remake, but it’s a first for me! If you played the original, the environment is upscaled a TON. So no surprises for you except that it’s gorgeous :)

Overall great game. I never played the original but it’s been a while since I played a game that wasn’t some open world concept. It’s nice to go back to some basic fundamentals. Oh yeah if you enjoy being scared this game has plenty of that for you.

It’s been 10 years since we last saw a new Dead Space game and 15 years since the original. It was due time for a return and what a return it is, everything you remember but better, more fleshed out characters and story that more deeply connect to its sequels. A great entry point for newcomers as well.

The Dead Space remake is definitely a horror fan's dream game, the game does everything right to keep the original feel while updating the mechanics to keep up with the flow of modern gaming. The shooting feels smooth and has some weight alongside the enemies feeling hefty and able to instill fear into those the are expecting the unexpected.

Very good remake, I was afraid it would lose the magic of what made the original so special; but I am pleased to say that it retained a lot of not all of the atmosphere. This remake also improved a lot of the more frustrating sections and did well with the node system. I am very pleased good work.

It’s been a long time since I played Dead Space 1, so I really can’t say how much this remake is like the original game. The graphics are top notch. The gameplay is really good. However, I don’t remember backtracking as much in the original- it seems like I’m going through the same areas many times. It also doesn’t seem as scary. The enemies are pretty well telegraphed and don’t seem to jump out of nowhere as much as the original. Many people are asking for a remake of Dead Space 2- but I don’t think that’s really necessary since the two games were so similar. I’d much rather see them do an original Dead Space 4. Overall I enjoyed the game and I may play it again in the future. I’d give it an 8/10 or 4/5.
