Never played the original game but this remake was amazing and awesome with some gameplay mechanics from the second game.

Fantastic remake. Didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, feels exactly like what you’d imagine the original to be like if it was slightly more modernized. Very faithful.

Amazing game, improves on the original in every way

It’s been a long time since I played Dead Space 1, so I really can’t say how much this remake is like the original game. The graphics are top notch. The gameplay is really good. However, I don’t remember backtracking as much in the original- it seems like I’m going through the same areas many times. It also doesn’t seem as scary. The enemies are pretty well telegraphed and don’t seem to jump out of nowhere as much as the original. Many people are asking for a remake of Dead Space 2- but I don’t think that’s really necessary since the two games were so similar. I’d much rather see them do an original Dead Space 4. Overall I enjoyed the game and I may play it again in the future. I’d give it an 8/10 or 4/5.

Great graphics and entertaining to use on ps5 buy it

Very good remake, I was afraid it would lose the magic of what made the original so special; but I am pleased to say that it retained a lot of not all of the atmosphere. This remake also improved a lot of the more frustrating sections and did well with the node system. I am very pleased good work.

The original Dead Space (2008) was my favorite survival horror video game of all time. This remake has renewed my love for the series. The updated graphics, excellent sound design, and gameplay make this remake a must-play for any horror fan. Im already on my third playthrough!

The game as I remember playing on the ps3 but better. The graphics are enhanced and the main character Issac doesn't feel like he's walking through mudd while walking.

This is how remakes should be done, amazing game. EA hit this out the park, definitely worth a 2nd and 3rd play through for trophy hunters. From the sounds to atmosphere, deadspace keeps you on your toes with fear. Definitely worth the price of Admission

As a huge fan of the original Dead Space games (yes even the 3rd) this a great modern update of the classic forst game. Very atmospheric & creepy. The sounds you hear on the Ishimura, especially in darker sections fits the mood of the game perfectly, especially if you are wearing headphones. Great game, highly recommended.

It's basically a 1:1 remake of the original with visual improvements and some quality of life changes, still not as good of a remake as other options, specially for the price.

Amazing re make, it’s so great that it almost feels like a new game. The most iconic scenes are still there but there’s been minor changes here and there. Juno scares are still great and so much better with modern audio system and 4k

Nostalgia overload! Beautiful graphics, and they cleaned up the few annoyances from the original. Cleaner movement in zero G and the few missions i hated have been fixed. (Moving through the Centerfuge and alligning the defense canons). Just an absolute Home Run of a remake, can only pray that they do Dead Space 2 next.

Smooth controls, scary and a fun reboot. Good go to title for one looking to go on a deep space horror crusade.

Excellent remake of the original bringing all the tension from the first experience into the current gen. At a sales price this game is well worth it.
