It's not perfect, it's not the best of the generation in terms of gameplay -- but it is a great game nonetheless. The art direction, soundtrack, and acting is rock solid, but there feels as if there was some "padding" added to the game.

Kojima strikes again, presenting a game that subverts expectation, and stands out from just about anything else out there! Don't get spoiled, just play it!

Excellent Detail and Kojima does it again! The Details are SO ON POINT! The intensity of the entire game keeps the suspense up and the story is phenomenal!

I would rate this game an 8/10. The gameplay becomes pretty repetitive toward the end, but the story was incredible. Definitely worth one playthrough and it will last you around 40 hours for the main story to be completed.

Hard to not judge it by it's cover but this game is very fun but extremely polarizing. Seems people either love it or hate it, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This game is stunning,and it shows the absolute genius that is Hideo Kojima. He has given us a world that can be built upon for as long as you decide to play. It take things that may seem simple and make them profound.

If you like hideo games like metal gear solid you miiiiight like this. It's weird but oddly fun. Yes you'll be transporting packages back and forth between bases because Sam's job is literally just that but after a few hours I found that I couldn't put the controller down. You eventually start upgrading your gear and acquiring vehicles that make transporting easier. After a while the story starts coming together but I'd be lying if I said it ever makes complete sense. The only problem I had was the acting. Some people were fine but Norman Reedus's emotional range is almost non existent. He's not terrible but compared to some other characters he's just bleh.

This game is fascinating! The worldbuilding, the graphical detail, the cargo organization!!! The BB pod!?! Guillermo del Toro?! I don't want to say that if you like metal gear, then you'll like death stranding. It is a very different thing, I think. Yet it is also very recognizable as a Kojima game- and there is some stealth and long cutscenes. But it's its own thing though. And I'll say that as a Kojima fan I really enjoy it, personally. But I say leave your expectations at the door and strap on your backpack!

This is the first strand type game and I love it. Definitely a better game than Silent Hills would have been. Kideo Hojima did it big!

odd quirky, unlike anything else you'll play. not everyone's cup of tea but if you liked MGS V, you'll be at home. steelbook was nice.
