As a whole, I am very pleased with the system. First, the DVR system works great and the UI is very intuitive. Moreover, the mobile AP works perfectly and it even allows playback from it. Second, the cameras themselves definitely feel IP66 (which means they are fully protected from dust and water) and the mounting base makes it very simple to install. Lastly, the only tip I would STRONGLY recommend is to plan the installation and take your time with it. I spent weeks planning where the best locations would be and took my time with each camera. All in all, definitely recommend! I even bought a second set for my parents and they love it too!

The box includes absolutely everything needed for an installation, except for drill and screwdriver. The kit includes pre-made cables that appear to be are at least 45 feet long for each of the 4 cameras. The cables carry power and signal, so no need for separate power at the camera location. Also included are HDMI cable for the monitor and CAT5 cable to connect to internet for remote monitoring. (Many police departments allow you to enable protected camera access for them, which helps secure your neighborhood.) Picture quality is excellent, and at least one neighbor told me "make sure our driveway is in your picture" after seeing the quality.

Easy set up within length of video and power cords. Cameras have good quality in 1080p mode and DVR is easy to program. Night record quality is ok with in 50ft. I also liked that I didn’t need a IP or WiFi to setup this system, all you need is a PC monitor or Smart TV to set up and view recording.

this is a great system it has a clear picture and view i would recommend this system i plan on adding on two more cameras i also got it at a good price at best buy and was easy to set up

System works great. Email alerts great! Only problem so far, is excessive alerts. Still working on tweaking the line crossing and motion notifications. Very happy with this system

1tb Drive can record over 2 weeks at a time. Camera cables are around 30-40 feet. Unsure exact amount but somewhere close

Great product, very simple to install. Defender also has a YouTube video on everything you need to know. It was nice that everything you need came in the box.

Was a gift for my Grandparents and it was so easy to set up. The night vison worked so good you could not tell it was night out. They live way off the road and you can see all the way main road. Love it so much I plan to buy it for myself.

For a first time camera system they are good. The app sometimes unloads 20-30 motion alerts at once. Could be our internet service though. They were a breeze to install and everything is color coded for plug and play.

Awesome camera for the price. Picture quality is awesome, especially at night. Modifying the parameters for the DVR is not so user friendly

It took me less then two hours to install. This is a nice security camera for the price, The picture is really clear.

Great camera, app for phones works well. If you are trying to decide if you should get wireless or wired, choose wireless.... Cords are difficult to hide.

Easy from open box to install and set up including app to view from phone 24/7. I plan to purchase another system for my home.

This is the 4th system that I have installed. Installation and start up are a breeze.

It's easy to setup and use. The quality isn't as clear as I thought it would be at 1080p. You can't make out license plates more than 30 ft away and zoom quality is worse. Night vision is ok when lit but grainy. Where street lights are blocked by trees, visibility is slim to none and motion isn't detected. Clips are sometimes recorded into two or more files.

this is my first home security cam, and it's ok for now.

I like the system, but to hook it up to the computer and phone is being an issue. Called but kept getting people that do not understand English.

Great quality and good price would definitely get a few more camera tho two is not enough
