Good until firmware updatesPosted
I like this camera for its speaker/intercom feature, motion detection and alert detection. However, every time something is not working like the monitor, there is a firmware update that I don’t know about until I call customer service. After one year of use, I got a warranty replacement since the camera stopped working. Once I got the replacement I had to update the firmware twice. The firmware can only be downloaded to a laptop/computer but not compatible with Apple Mac. So Suzanne the rep mails me the SD card with the 2 firmware updates twice. Due to the company not sending us any updates by email, I had to find out the firmware updates when I notice the monitor was not working after a few weeks. This could save me more time and frustration if they sent us emails. I lost about 3-4 weeks of use on this security camera since I had to wait for a replacement and wait for a first and second SD card. During my wait I had to buy another camera to be a back up. The only issue is the firmware upgrades that causes inconveniences and delays until I get a SD. The only reason why I stick to this camera is because Suzanne is very nice and helps me out. They ship the stuff from Canada so it takes 7 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
