I am so happy with the quality and performance of sound that comes out of these speakers. I had the same surround speakers for about 17 years until I bought these. The price in speakers has really gone up but so has the quality. These speakers are twice the size of Sony’s I had before but way better. Definitely happy with my purchase!

I came into the store to buy a Klipsch center channel. The store did not have that item in stock, and I was talked into buying this one by the Magnolia specialist. I am happy with the purchase. I'm no audiophile so I can't use the flowery language like "this one feels warmer than the Klipsch, etc." Specification wise-this speaker is miles ahead of the competition, and the price is not too much higher.

I was worried this center would sound small and tinny and thin but boy was I shocked in our room. I’m sure as usual bigger is better but I do not think you will be disappointed at all with this speaker. You can also adjust or aim the speaker with a screw on the back up and down. I bought the Sony bookshelf speakers and was going to buy Sony center so all would match but was out of stock and with recommendation of BB manager I-tested this speaker. Do not worry about the “ timbre matching” there is validity to some of that but in my opinion unless you are spending a ton more money and are a total audiophile it’s not a deal breaker. Oh and by the way this center channel is with a Sony 1080 receiver the voices are cleaner than my Atmos enabled 1000+ dollar sound bar. I wish at the time I could have bought L and R channel Definitive Speakers just to compare to the highly rated Sony’s (which are good I will add) because the Definitive Center is really that good in our situation.

I already owned a pair of Def Tech BP8 tower speakers so I decided to stay within the brand for my surround sound. This center channel speaker is compact and low profile and subsequently takes up very little space. The sound is crystal clear for voices and has the great tonal balance of all Def Tech speakers. Great price and quality for the consumer wanting to get into surround sound on a budget.

This replaced an older center speaker. The sound difference was amazing. Far clearer than my old center, the actors voices felt realer. Because of the speaker placement within the center speaker, it also contributes more to the surround sound profile. The speaker is smaller than my old center speaker, and its profile fits nicely on the cabinet under my TV.

Primarily chose this as a center channel due to its low profile to mount under my TV, and the price. The sound is great, and the black lacquered finish looks great too. If you're looking for something that won't break the bank, this is a great choice. Mounting was easy using the DT mounts, also available through BB.

I ended up with this center because Best Buy didn't have any of the Klipsch ones I was looking for. Man, am I glad. This center sounds fantastic, it's loud enough and I like the smaller profile. The smaller drivers really help offset the massive sound my dual 8" driver towers produce.

I purchased this speaker to replace an old RCA Surround Sound in a box center speaker that I've lived with for years, and that I was using with my Denon 2312CI amp that I bought last year. I wasn't too impressed with the Denon at first because the amp didn't sound any better than the RCA unit, even with the center channel turned full up. I have hearing damage, so dialogue is the hardest thing for me to hear clearly. The minute I plugged this little gem in, my world literally changed for the better! No longer do I have to make my family uncomfortable with high volume levels during movies or TV shows, and I don't find myself riding the remote any more either! Truly amazing! The center channel is now set at a reasonable level compared to the others, and the volume has come down roughly 30% average overall.... And, I can hear everything clearly! The sound quality of this box is VERY full range due to the multiple speaker design. I'm incredibly happy, and can't wait to replace my other speakers with Definitive products!! Believe the hype folks! Great sound at a very reasonable price!!

Definitive Technology rocks, if you look at audio websites all their products are getting great reviews. No exception here. It is an amazing center speaker, you can either wall mount it or it will stand on its own. Unbelievable what sound DT gets out of these smaller size speakers.

I purchased this to improve the hearing of dialog when watching tv. It works & the fidelity of music is even improved. The Best Buy rep recommended a center speaker for my stereo system ( not surround around ) because of the listening problem I was having. He mentioned that it's a common phenomenon. I also really like the additional fidelity it provides when listening to cds. Customer reviews about this brand & product were excellent. This center speaker is an excellent value for the price. I listened to higher priced center speakers while at Best Buy & my ears thought this sounded the best. Higher priced does not always translate into better.

Did a ton of research before pulling the trigger on getting Def Tech speakers as my front three. I have this center channel coupled to two Def Tech ProMonitor 1000s and the sound is incredible. I'm still in my "breaking in" period, but so far the soundstage presented by these three speakers together is amazing. Dialogue is great with this speaker in every application I've tried; streaming, Blu Ray, OTA HD content. It's also crystal clear for vocals on music applications (have tried plugged in MP3s, Pandora streaming, and CD application). Highly recommend.

I had limitation on budget+space to fit on my furniture. I was looking at other brands but the Magnolia guy at BB hit with this one. It fits perfectly on my furniture and gives my good sound for voices in my movies. there are cheaper options with similar performance but not at the same size. I enjoy watching movies now with the separations I get between the special effects and the voices.

Purchased this to go with 4 DT 800s. Recommended by manufacturer as a good match-up. They are right. Work very well together. Sometimes available at a discounted price when purchased together as 5 piece system.

It was time for me to acknowledge that age was impacting my hearing, so research let me to the understanding that the conversational voices in series and movies can these days be enhanced with the addition of a decent ‘center speaker' . . . This one performs the job well, and with my big Yamaha receiver being able to control the volume of the center speaker independently from the others I have nothing to regret en spending this much for a new speaker . . . Highly recommended

this tiny thing sounds HUGE!!!! (but that might also be.. cuz of my ONKYO) was searching for a small center.... to fit above fireplace on Shelf. Never even heard of Definitive Tech.. but the fact that it was well rated. im Happy!!!

Love this center channel speaker that matches our other front speakers

I compared this speaker to a couple other ones and the def tec sounded the best. It produces crystal clear sound out of a small size speaker. Other speakers were gigantic and did not sound clean. Highly recommend this speaker.

I was having terrible sound problems with old center speaker and purchased this speaker and there was no improvement. I then realized it was the AVR that was the problem. I purchased a new Denon AVR from BB and my old center speaker now works properly as did this center speaker so I returned this one. BB, of course, always great for returns. So, if you want a new center speaker, this is a great quality one to purchase. Just be careful that the "problem" with your "old" center speaker is not your AVR which was my situation.

This speaker produces great sound! It is half the price and much less obtrusive then the next speaker up from definitive. Fills a large room. Voices are heard clearly with surround sound
