I bought the Definitive Technology Center Channel speaker to replace an older model that quit working. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to get the older model repaired. I have been happy so far with the sound that it is providing for movies. Well worth the money I spent

We were upgrading our 600 series center channel and after reading all the reviews decided that the 1000 would work better with the 800 series bookshelf speakers we had purchased last year. Best decision we could have made, excellent sound for a small system.

Great sound from this procenter speaker! This is the workhorse speaker in my 5.1 theater system. Clean mids and medium-lows, dialog is crystal clear, and overall sound blends perfectly with the 800 satellites. I compared the 1000 to the 2000 and found very little difference except price and physical size.

It sounds great. I was concerned about the small size for my large family room, however, it fills the room nicely.

I already had one.My space is limited for the 2000 series, so I split the difference.

I needed a smaller center channel speaker after realizing too late that my old AR center channel was too big for the opening in a new piece of furniture we bought. This has proven to be a solid replacement, although a bit weaker on the low end due to it's smaller size. The side firing ports would help if there was more space, but this is a tight fit in this piece of furniture. This speaker performs as I expected in this size and price point. Dialogue is clear and understandable.

This center speaker is great. The dialogue and everything that’s happening in the middle is superior for the size. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a center with space limitations

Great speakers. This is the 2nd time I've purchased these speakers first for my home theater in basement, and now for to replace the components in my living room. Sound is perfect...well worth the price.

No dought this is a quality Center Chanel. But it just was not well suited for the area I wanted to use it. It is more suited for a smaller room. Once I seen how small it was I should have gone with my gut feeling and compaired it with other Center Chanels first. And Yes...I did balance it with rest of my system and gave it the full 40 hour break in period. Reviews should not have played as big of a role as they did. Lesson learned.

Having a front speaker carry the burden of natural-sounding voices is daunting, but this Definitive model does its job perfectly. My poor hearing now picks up the upper ranges of female voices that I previously struggled to catch. This is a quaity product.

I bought this to replace a ProCinema center channel. I already had the left and right 1000s and rear ProCinemas. Previously, the rear was fine, stereo was fine, but the center channel was lacking. With this setup, everything sounds great now!

I am upgrading my surround sound a little at a time. I am using an old set of speakers with my new receiver but didn't have a center channel speaker. I decided I didn't want to spend lots of money but wanted something that would give me decent sound for the money. I bought this in anticipation of buying matching front speakers in the near future. I'm pretty happy with how it sounds with my existing speakers. I'm looking forward to upgrading the rest as I can.

I upgraded from a Polk T30 center Channel to this Definitve Technology 1000 center channel. Talk about an upgrade! Great sound, looks great and easy to hook up. Very crisp clean sound when watching a movie or sports and video games sound amazing.

Not so. This Def Tech Pro Center channel speaker is awesome. And fits well with the 8060 Def Tech towers I used for the front speakers. During conversational scenes in a movie, the towers quiet down and the center channel is front and center. It performs very well.

worked well, sounds better than expected. Had to change to a klipsch reference series quad 3 1/2 center speaker (only for the looks). Have a weird size of space for a center speaker in my wall unit.

Have an atmos only I reciever... don’t ya e great speakers. This is my 2nd upgrade from an all in the box Yamaha set of speakers. Better clarity and space for sure which is exactly what we wanted.

Outstanding center channel speaker. Great match for my Definitive satellite speakers and Definitive subwoofer. Actually better sound quality than my old Mirage very expensive center channel.

A very nice center speaker at a good price. We are seniors and seem to be asking each other what they just said more often. This really helped and was easy to set up with our receiver. Happy with our purchase.

I had trouble hearing what some people say in some movies like when they mumble. So I needed to upgrade my center speaker to something that would sound clearer. This ProCenter 1000 sounds much better than my old speaker.

I got this center channel to match the my StudioMonitor 65, oh boy does it do it job. The store had a lower open box price then where was listed online!!
