I purchased this at the recommendation of the audio/video specialist that was at the store that evening. The dimensions of the unit and the quality of sound convinced me that this was what would work for me. The sales rep was accommodating to my pricing concerns and helped me get the best possible price. I am very pleased with the service I received and the product.

This replaced an older center speaker. The sound difference was amazing. Far clearer than my old center, the actors voices felt realer. Because of the speaker placement within the center speaker, it also contributes more to the surround sound profile. The speaker is smaller than my old center speaker, and its profile fits nicely on the cabinet under my TV.

I was having trouble hearing dialogue in movies and tv shows. A Best Buy Tech recommended I purchase a center speaker. I noticed a big difference right away and the dialogue was much clearer now.

Sounds great and performs well so far. Makes a lot of sound for such a small speaker. Great for going on a mantle where large centers will not fit.

I already had one.My space is limited for the 2000 series, so I split the difference.

This speaker replaced an Energy center channel, Just needed a little more ummph! I didn't have a lot of room in my "fixed space" cabinet, so went shopping for the best sound from a small speaker and had with DT ProCenter 1000 I got more than I bargained for. Love the sound...very happy with this speaker.

If you have a 5.1 or 7.1 home system and don't have clear front sound but aren't looking for theater quality or filling a larger room but just want your home theater in a medium space with carpeting or whatever to have the punch it should, then this will work for a price point of about $200.

I've used other brands before and this time let the home audio planer at Best Buy talk me into trying this out. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the sound. This finished off a 5.1 system and the audio for movies/tv is nice and clear and prevalent. When playing music its crisp and full.

It sounds great. I was concerned about the small size for my large family room, however, it fills the room nicely.

I bought the Definitive Technology Center Channel speaker to replace an older model that quit working. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to get the older model repaired. I have been happy so far with the sound that it is providing for movies. Well worth the money I spent

We were upgrading our 600 series center channel and after reading all the reviews decided that the 1000 would work better with the 800 series bookshelf speakers we had purchased last year. Best decision we could have made, excellent sound for a small system.

I needed a smaller center channel speaker after realizing too late that my old AR center channel was too big for the opening in a new piece of furniture we bought. This has proven to be a solid replacement, although a bit weaker on the low end due to it's smaller size. The side firing ports would help if there was more space, but this is a tight fit in this piece of furniture. This speaker performs as I expected in this size and price point. Dialogue is clear and understandable.

Great speakers. This is the 2nd time I've purchased these speakers first for my home theater in basement, and now for to replace the components in my living room. Sound is perfect...well worth the price.

No dought this is a quality Center Chanel. But it just was not well suited for the area I wanted to use it. It is more suited for a smaller room. Once I seen how small it was I should have gone with my gut feeling and compaired it with other Center Chanels first. And Yes...I did balance it with rest of my system and gave it the full 40 hour break in period. Reviews should not have played as big of a role as they did. Lesson learned.
