I like the definitive 1000 speakers very much they are replacing the promonitor 600 the 1000 speaker fills the room with a larger richer sound.

I bought a pair of these to upgrade my front heights in my home theater system. They made a big difference. They may not be that big in size, but they are very big on their sound. I paired these up with a pair of 9040 towers, 9060 center and Pioneer Elite VSX-LX503 AV reciever. I know have the front soundstage sound I have always looked to have.

One speaker (out of 2) developed a buzz after about a month of use. Called store where I purchased to see about an exchange and they stated return privileges were over unless I had purchased the extended warranty - I hadn't. Otherwise to take up issue with the manufacturer. The manufacturer doesn't have a true warranty shop or 24 hour service line, but instead redirects you back to where you purchase their products for "service and warranty work" (image with exact text attached). Says speakers are covered for 5 years, which sounds good if you can get anybody to honor that. Calling store (#333) multiple times only to be put of indefinite hold (hung up on and call back...3rd time now). Below acceptable on both parties in my opinion to play the "not it" game with published warranties. Other speaker is fine (adequate), hence two stars instead of one/none. Finally told after over 40 minutes of holding to check with the Geek Squad as they "might" work with the manufacturer on warranty work. Guess I'll be on hold again as I ask someone from the 3rd department within the store. Magnolia service?!? Avoid calling a store at all costs even if main website is also useless. Only going there in person seems to get any attention. And after another 15 minutes hold, told to bring to any Geek Squad station with customer service pin (from receipt, which I have), and they will send off for a two-three week repair. Fingers crossed that works. I have my doubts after Geek Squad wanted to send me right back to Magnolia department.

I replaced some large floor speakers with these and I could not be happier. Excellent sound. You will probably need a sub to go with these to hit the lows, but sound for music and home theater are fantastic! Also highly recommend the definitive wall mounts for these.

speakers have a very good sound spectrum. I compared a few speakers at the BestBuy sound. I mounted them on the wall in my living room with wall mounts (cost extra) which are made for this model. I have a relatively small room and the overall listening experience is very satisfying. The price of the speaker plus tax plus wall mount nears $300 which I find high by at least 50-100$.

Updated my Definitive, front speakers. They are very nice sounding. I’m very impressed.

good sound, a bit heavy but still can hang on wall

I bought two of these speaker for my home theater surround system. I was so impressed with the speakers that I went back and bought two more. They added a new dimension to my theater experience. The highs were very crisp and opened up an upper sound dimension.

These bookshelf speakers replaced older polk floor standing speakers that were too large for the new room that our TV and surround sound system are now set up in. The sound fills the room (12x20) very nicely. They are set up with a DT center channel speaker, DT sub, and Mirage satellites.

Sounds great, I considered the 2000 but after getting these home I am glad I selected the 1000's. Large room 25x30, very open with a two story ceiling but the 1000's fills the room and can handle a wide range of volume without distortion.

I originally bought a pair of these speakers 10 years ago for use with the Denon receiver. After finding a way to add rear speakers to my system through Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, I was delighted that these same speakers were still available. I did not hesitate to purchase them. Great sound even with high volume. Never disappointed.

These speakers are amazing. I upgraded my surround rear speakers from the ProMonitor 800 to the 1000 and can't believe the difference. They produce way more sound and make a noticeable difference.

I replaced a blown infinity rs3 with Polk T15 series bookshelf while these sound ok they lacked the quality my rs3 had so I purchased the Definitive technology pro monitor 1000 and these sound far superior to my infinity rs3 and the Polk doesn't even come close I'm very satisfied

For over 10 years I have preferred Definitive Technology. The sound and quality are excellent with top-notch customer service directly from Definitive Technology when I have needed it. For rear surround sound, the pro Monitor 1000's pack a punch that gives you a movie theatre experience in your home.

Sound great so far!! Speakers are still fairly new and are required to go through 20-40 hr break-in period, but sound great already....so only gonna get better. I have other def tech speakers and have been very pleased with this brand.

Great speaker. Lower price, as a possible discontinuation of item may be contemplated. Big sound. Get them while they are still available. Some items are OK to buy second hand, but speakers are not one of them.

Excellent speakers that deliver crisp audio. I’m using them as rear surround sound hung just below the 10 foot ceiling. They are powered by my new Denon receiver. Would purchase again!

Cost effective and does the job. Use this as a surround/back speaker with an X8500 receiver. Sounds like I am at a real sports game, from the crowd noise in the background.

Great speakers. This is the 2nd time I've purchased these speakers first for my home theater in basement, and now for to replace the components in my living room. Sound is perfect...well worth the price.
