I like the definitive 1000 speakers very much they are replacing the promonitor 600 the 1000 speaker fills the room with a larger richer sound.

These bookshelf speakers replaced older polk floor standing speakers that were too large for the new room that our TV and surround sound system are now set up in. The sound fills the room (12x20) very nicely. They are set up with a DT center channel speaker, DT sub, and Mirage satellites.

Sounds great, I considered the 2000 but after getting these home I am glad I selected the 1000's. Large room 25x30, very open with a two story ceiling but the 1000's fills the room and can handle a wide range of volume without distortion.

These speakers are amazing. I upgraded my surround rear speakers from the ProMonitor 800 to the 1000 and can't believe the difference. They produce way more sound and make a noticeable difference.

I love the sound so far the speakers look great although the have to be hung upside down if wall mounted

Experience with store personnel was great and the installer i can't say enough about how good he was, i had 2 interactions with him, he was very knowledgeable.

I originally bought a pair of these speakers 10 years ago for use with the Denon receiver. After finding a way to add rear speakers to my system through Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, I was delighted that these same speakers were still available. I did not hesitate to purchase them. Great sound even with high volume. Never disappointed.

I replaced a blown infinity rs3 with Polk T15 series bookshelf while these sound ok they lacked the quality my rs3 had so I purchased the Definitive technology pro monitor 1000 and these sound far superior to my infinity rs3 and the Polk doesn't even come close I'm very satisfied

For over 10 years I have preferred Definitive Technology. The sound and quality are excellent with top-notch customer service directly from Definitive Technology when I have needed it. For rear surround sound, the pro Monitor 1000's pack a punch that gives you a movie theatre experience in your home.

Updated my Definitive, front speakers. They are very nice sounding. I’m very impressed.

I use them for surround and they are very clear. They fit nicely into the decor. I bought wall brackets but decided against using them and used a small stand which I think helps the down-reflector bass. I think I need a newer receiver to really take full advantage of their sound.

Sound great so far!! Speakers are still fairly new and are required to go through 20-40 hr break-in period, but sound great already....so only gonna get better. I have other def tech speakers and have been very pleased with this brand.

Bought these cause I wanted to replace my Polk RM8's. The difference is day and night. Listen and compare the Pro Monitor 800's and the Pro Monitor 1000, You will not be disappointed with 1000 The Highs, Mids and bass are incredible for the price ( especially if you can get them on sale)

We had in ceiling speakers but moved. We replaced them with the Definitive Speaker which sits on a stand. Compact and packs a punch when watching 4K movies and streaming football games. The total sound experience is great and we receive many complements on it.

Great speaker. Lower price, as a possible discontinuation of item may be contemplated. Big sound. Get them while they are still available. Some items are OK to buy second hand, but speakers are not one of them.

I was looking to upgrade my home theater system. These pro monitor 1000's are my 1st step. When I heard them in the Magnolia Room, I was blown away. The clarity, the bass coming from a small speaker I could not wait to set them up in my cave. I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent speakers that deliver crisp audio. I’m using them as rear surround sound hung just below the 10 foot ceiling. They are powered by my new Denon receiver. Would purchase again!

I am using these speakers as front left and right surround speakers with a series 1000 center and subwoofer, and series 800 rear left and right speakers. The sound is perfect for my set up with a Yamaha receiver.

Great speakers. This is the 2nd time I've purchased these speakers first for my home theater in basement, and now for to replace the components in my living room. Sound is perfect...well worth the price.

Added a set of Def Tech 1000 to my current system. It completed my 9.1 dolby atmos requirements. You can feel the sound they put off in a room that is less than ideal for a theater room, due to is shape and size; they fill the space without losing that great movie feel.
