I have a HK 5.1 system in my living room and have always thought I was loosing my hearing because I had trouble understanding dialogue while watching certain Dolby surround sound rated movies even after balancing the system. I recently put a 7.1 surround system in another room and started with just a Definative center channel and the front channel speakers, That alone out performed my old system, after getting the remaining 4 speakers I was extremely pleased to find that it was not my hearing, these speakers are amazing for the price,

I had a mirage nanosat 5.1 system prior to this 5.1 pro800 with a procenter 1000. OMG night and day! what a difference it made, my living room (15x20) came alive with these little monster, great buy, great products, excellent sound quality! Looking to upgrade to 7.1 soon with all DEFTECHS!

I have 4 of these in my 5.1 surround system. They are extremely impressive. I have the mounting brackets as well which I also highly recommend. These replace a Bose acoustimass system and I have to tell you that for approximately the same price, it is a no brainer. GET THESE! You will not be dissapointed.

Super quality and sound is fantastic, I have BP8020 and the midrange now it’s completely with the ProMonitor800.

I bought these as a self-birthday gift and this will be my first real sound system. I started only with a pair of ProMonitor 800s, they are amazing If your looking for a big movie sound. These speakers go great with any of the Pioneer Elite receivers (I chose the VSX-40 which is a 7.1 dual-zone receiver). I will be buying the ProCenter 1000, another pair of ProMonitor 800s and one of the DefinitiveTechnology Sub-woofers, probably the ProSub 1000.

I really like these speakers. They look nice on the wall and sound amazing. I got these on sale at BB and cant complain. They do what they are supposed to do and dont distort at high volumes. I have them waal mounted and they look amazing. I have them paired up with the Def Tech ProCenter 1000, Def Tech 10" ProSub 1000, a pair of Klipsch Icon WF-34 and a Onkyo TX-SR607. Everything sounds great.

Sounds great forca lower price surround passive speaker. A little heavy at 3 lbs.

It took me forever to find this center chanel with months of looking and research. I didnt know anything about Definitive at all. HIghly recommend them on any speaker. Huge sound out of little speakers. Absolutely amazing.

The sonics is second to none in this price class. When driven by good /high current amplification the PM 800s will play as load as any other satellite speaker.I was at first skeptical about their ability to fill a 12 W x 29L feet listening area, but these speakers get the job done. I am impressed as I initially purchased these as a shoe-in to a larger system, but will keep the Procinemas as my main speakers. I have a 5.1 system with PM 800 as fronts, ProCenter 1000,Promonitor 100 as rears, and Velodyne SPL-1000R 10" subwoofer.

These are my fronts, paired with a ProCenter1000, and 600's in the rear, plus a Definitive ProSub 600 and a MartinLogan Dynamo - I couldn't be happier with the way my system sounds. The sound space is incredible, and you can hear individual rain drops, strings being plucked, etc. Absolutely worth it.

Great sound for the compact size, good value for the money, using them for surrounds and they almost sound too good!

From the specification, the frequency response of 57 HZ looked like these speakers were ideal front speakers. Unfortunately the speakers doesn't make any audible sound below 100 HZ for sure. It might produce the low frequency as advertised but it cannot be heard. Keep in mind that small speaker means small bass and large speaker means large bass. Don't go by the numbers or advertisement. The sound quality is comparable to cheaper Bose 161, Bose doesn't advertise that their speaker can play really low frequency sounds like Definitive. It is great if someone wants good looking surround speakers with no expectation of lound sounding front speakers.

I am using these speakers as rear surround speakers and have been very happy with my choice. Some people use these as front speakers, but I chose to use the Studio Monitor 55 instead. These little speakers are wall mounted and sound great in the system.

I got these due to the fact I bought the Procinema 800 system. These are really good sounding speakers along with a powered sub. Were I really appreciated these speackers was when I dumped the Center channel of this package and buy another center channel. I'm running a Yamaha RX-A740 to drive these and these little guys put out all the highs and lows you'll need for a small to mid size room. They are well constructed and look good.

I have owned the ProMonitor 800's for about 6 months and still can not believe the sound they produce. I use these as bookshelf speakers in a 2 speaker stereo setup in my home office (12'x12'). I am using a vintage NAD 7220 PE receiver (set at 4 ohms) and Nakamichi CD Player 4 all hooked up with Monster Cable and could not be more impressed by the music this system produces. After "breaking in" the speakers for about 40-50 hours, the richness and full sound./.bass really showed itself. I was considering purchasing a sub woofer but after the break in period NO sub is needed. The full sound is simply amazing!

One great thing about this speaker you might not have thought of: you may have to lift your TV up so it won't block your screen -- I had to jack up my 40-inch Samsung by four inches -- but if you don't mind doing that, you can save $75 off the cost of the ProCenter 1000 and get a center channel identical, not just similar, to your other speakers. How's that for a deal? :-)

Great little speaker with great sound!!! I would recomend this brand. It's a little more than you're average bookshelf speaker but well worth it in the long run.

clear crisp sound, they were a used product and returned by previous owner because they did not match his new speaker set. They worked very well for me. some mild difficulty in getting the speaker wires threaded. full sound. only downside, price was a little steep

I use 4 of them as surrounds, perfect compliment to the Def Tech bi-polar towers. The wall mounts work great.
