They need higher quality fasteners to function.

I got these brackets to mount my new Def Tech ProMonitor 1000's with. I liked the design of them and the build quality seemed fine, so I purchased them. After a few adjustments to get each speaker pointed exactly where I wanted it, I tightened the bolt down to secure the articulating position. Returning to the room later, I noticed that the speakers were pointed downward, now aimed at the floor. Not where I intended them to be. After several failed attempts to get them to stay in place, I finally went to the hardware store and got stainless steel nuts and bolts to replace the poor quality fasteners that clamp the ball. Problem solved, they are rock solid and stay put, exactly where I want them. I love them now. I would have rated them 5 stars if I didn't have to replace the bolts that came with them.

I replaced my very old Bose system with Definitive Technology speakers. I wanted small speakers to go right back where the brackets for the Bose were on the wall. I pulled the speaker wire inside the walls when I built the house. The speakers were the perfect size. But, I needed speaker brackets. I decided on these. The brackets are aluminum which is good. The hole in the back for the speaker wire was a bit small, I thought. I drilled it a bit bigger so I could pull the wire through easier. The arm adjusts the speakers left or right, up or down. I was $50 for a pair of brackets. I think this price is a bit high. These brackets are good but there are cheaper options out there.

I purchased a couple mounts to find the one best suited to giving me the articulation that I wanted while being discrete. This one fit the bill. I use them for some small, wall mounted rear speakers. The Promount 90 projects just enough to create the illusion of the speakers floating off the wall when viewed from certain angles. The "ball joint" allows for almost infinite adjustment and readjustment so you can angle the speakers exactly where and how you'd like. Could be improved if it had a conduit for the speaker wire. Good value for the money.

I've relocated my DefTech speakers to a new home and this time instead of using the default mounts, thought I'd go with the ProMount 90s. My only regret is that I didn't use these mounts in the last house! Super easy to install and my speakers haven't budged a millimeter since hanging them 3+ months ago. I used monster cable speaker wire in the wall and was able to route the speaker cable through the center hole of the mount (behind the ball) and made my connection to minimize the amount of wire I can see. I'm very satisfied with these. If I had anything negative to say about them, I wish they came with their own mounting hardware with screws/bolts that had a head to match the beautiful finish of the mount.

These pro mount 90s are replacing a pair of plastic mounts that were purchased at Wallymart. Needless to say my wife and I awoke to a loud bang and found that the plastic mount cracked in half and my def tech pro monitor 800 was laying on the floor. I promptly bought these pro mount 90s and they are perfect. made of heavy duty metal and most importantly, they dont allow the speaker to bounce or move. If you have def tech speakers, do yourself a favor and do it right the first time. Don't go cheap like I did and wake up to a speaker on the floor. Oh, and my speaker works perfectly fine. Def tech makes quality products thats for sure.

I used these brackets for my klipsch quintet speaker set. Works great!!! They are minimal in deisgn, doesn't occupy much space, and are almost hidden behind the speakers. The speakers can be moved in any direction, compared to some other brackets, in which speakers move in only one direction. This helps in rearranging the speakers in any direction we prefer. A small disadvantage is that the mounts don't come with the screws to mount it on the wall. This may be ok, because which screws you want to use depends on what kind of wall you want to mount these brackets.

I have Definitive Promonitor 1000's, that are attached with Promount 80's. None of them can hold the weight of the speaker. I bought these to replace the 80s, and am Impressed. The Promount 90s are made of all metal, rather than all plastic like the 80s. You can't simply replace the 80's as the screw holes are further apart, but not a big deal. These hold the weight of the speakers well, but you do have to tighten them pretty dang tight.

I bought this after reading many positive online reviews, and I'm quite pleased. I purchased them to mount the surround (rear) speakers for my Energy 5.1 Classic Home Theater System, which are just about 3lbs each. The brackets were very easy to install, and the fact that they pivot in many directions makes them very useful. Although the specs say that they're good up to 10lbs, I would probably suggest going with an even sturdier bracket if your speakers are close to that weight limit. But for the average surround-sound speaker, say 5lbs or less, these are very good.

I bought 2 pair of these mounts for my new Definitive Tech Procinema 600 speaker set. Used to mount the 4 satellite speakers to wall (drywall construction). The mounts have a small footprint and work well with the 600 speakers. Was able to do the mounting w/o help but a 3rd hand would be beneficial. I was able to find locations that mounted into studs so mountings are very secure. Almost infinite positioning possibilities for the speakers. Very satisfied, may buy another pair for the center speaker.

Product works as its supposed to holding my mythos gems in place and were installed easily, especially with another pair of hands. Only gripe I have is the price. They are solid metal minus the ball joint portion, however for $50 I feel including a couple sizes/types of screws with black heads for mounting would make up for the price some.

I bought these mounts for my rear surround speakers. Easy mounting to wall and speakers. The only thing I found is that tightening the swivel ball joint is a bit frustrating. It says not to make it too tight but if you don't the speakers slowly drop out of position. After a little work I did get them to stay and have worked great ever since.

I bought these thinking the rocket fish 5 pack mounts wouldn't work with the def tech speakers I got. They are easy to use and mount. Just put mount on wall and screw in the screws and you can take the ball off of mount. The ball has a place to screw into the speaker. Then reattach to mount. Package came with everything but screws and anchor. They are pricey and look better, but if saving money the rocket fish works just as well.

I'm using these to mount the Definitive Pro1000's and although the mount is an all metal design (minus the ball) you REALLY have to tighten down on the allen screw to feel as if the speaker won't move. Due to the design of my house, my rears had to be mounted up at the ceiling and had to flip the mounts upside down to achieve a slightly greater than 45* mounting position. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase but wish the mounting system was designed differently.

The bracket was easy to install (had it installed on the ceiling, but it can be installed in the wall as well). Used these to mount my rear surround sound speakers. It comes with an alan wrench that allows you to quickly adjust speaker direction. I change the direction position if I'm having a party (to better hear music in another part of the room).

A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. This mount is very low-profile, easy to install, and feels super solid holding up satellite speakers. Know that you need to buy your own screws, they do not provide as they don't want to assume what material you will be affixing these into; just one extra trip to the home improvment store.

I use these on the ceiling for my home theatre sporting the pro monitor 800's for atmos these are a solid mount used 50 pound metal drywall anchors to hold them in place. Even with tons of bass pumping( two svs pb-2000 and 4 bp-8060 towers) I haven't noticed the speakers drop or move in any way they hold the speaker tight and secure unlike some of the other reviews I read. operator error maybe.

The mounts work well and pair perfectly with Definitve Pro Monitor 800 speakers. My only complaints are that the packaging the mounts arrived in was fairly beat up. Also, the package was missing the Allen wrench that the instructions say is included. Not a big deal if you have your own wrenches but a bummer if you don’t.

I was looking for mounting brackets for my new surround sound speakers, and the sales guy pointed me towards these. The work great, solid, and definitely support the weight. Only drawback is that they work only with the Definitive Technology speakers. There are options for a keyhole mount using a screw, but that does not provide the secure mount that the regular mounting does.

I was looking for a mount that had incredible flexibility and allows for the most range in mounting configurations. These mounts allow for complete articulation in the mounting of your speaker. The "ball in socket" style mount gives you the most adjustability in the orientation of your speakers. Perfect for aligning the speakers directly towards your listening area.

These were the only brackets available for the center speaker of the system I installed. They are too big !! I should have re-routed the speaker wire in the wall behind our audio cabinet and set the center speaker on the furniture. Could have saved $50 - too expensive for brackets !! Bad decision !
