This sub has ample power and huge bass for a sub this size. I was somewhat skeptical because it was not as big as other subs, but it delivers.

Can’t believe the sound out of this sub. I originally purchased a 10” Polk and it just couldn’t keep up with my system. The ProSub 1000 can take whatever I throw at it. Super happy. You get what ya pay for. I am running both subs now but had to turn down the Polk a bit so it can handle my system!

This little sup is small and powerful perfect for a small room and on a budget!

This replaced a Polk Audio 10" powered subwoofer which was starting to squawk at certain frequencies. This subwoofer puts my old Polk to shame. It handles volumes better, the bass is more defined, not muddy, not boomy, works great in our living room area. Works well as a subwoofer for music, works great as a subwoofer for 5.1 surround sound. Very happy with my purchase decision.

I purchased this sub for all purpose use. Movies and music. I have a fairly large room with 25' ceilings paired with 4 in-wall Bose speakers. The sub is placed in a cubby hole by the fireplace. For a 10" it hits plenty of lows and is awesome for casual volumes. If you after nothing but deep bass I would probably lean towards a 12" but for me I have no complaints. The side volume adjustment is also very handy!!

Bought this unit to replace my Infinity series powered sub, and while it is a smaller driver, and much easier to set up, it does not give the same response over all frequency ranges.

Great sub!! Packs a big punch and goes low enough for me to enjoy my favorite movies. I definitely a fan of definitive now and would recommend this sub to all entry level audiophiles.

I have this subwoofer with a pair of 9020 floorspeakers and a 1000 series surround system. The 9020 series has not as much bass as a 9040 series speaker but with this woofer they are perfect. I think the 9040 has too much base. So I am very happy

It is a very good highend subwoofer After I found the right setting on my amp then all walls vibrate I never tried a forward firing before and it is funny to watch it dance across the floor After I got it all adjusted right, it just fill the whole room It was the right choice

My room is about 250-300 SF and the subwoofer compliments a surround system comprised of 5 promonitor and procenter speakers. To respect my neighbors I do not used the volume is at the highest setting and yet the bass is excellent, providing a solid gut-level sound experience.

Def Tech has never disappointed. This model is one step above their entry level sub and sounds great. Best Buy had it on sale which leads me to believe they are phasing out this model. Buy now before they run out and you have to pay full retail for the new design.

Pushes out very nice sounding base. If you start to hear and feel it rattle, then buy rubber bottoms for it four stands to hold it in place.

This subwoofer is all that is advertised, and then some.. Grumbling Bass that makes you believe the jet just flew by, or that the T-Rex is really right there.. just can't smell him.

Works as well if not better than reviews or than I expected.

Quality of the piece was apparent and for a small room it would rock. The power however is limited and adding an identical partner (2 subs) would rectify the issue.

Phenomenal sound. Best sub I have ever owned. Definitely worth the money. You will not be disappointed if you buy one.
