Produces very deep, full base. Integrates sound well with my other speakers (Klipsch floor speakers). No distortion. Sounds like it produces deeper fuller base for its 10 inch size than several other comparable products.

I have had this sub for little over a year it replaced my KLH 12" and it has not been tested to its full capacity because my neighbors have complained of the vibrating walls at their house. The sub is a good 150ft from from any house in my neighborhood , so as you can see this sub is awsome!!!!!!!!!! anfd full of deep bass. It is powered by a yamaha head unit and supported with klipsch quintet series speakers. I have enjoyed its performance and look forward to one day be able to raise the volume level past 4.

Outstanding! The Definitive Technology ProSub 1000 cured the "problem" with my Yamaha RX V 1900. It seemed like there was no output for the "LFE" portion of the receiver. Needed to replace the old sub. The "new" receivers like the Yamaha are evidently set up for the high powered subs. Tried a Polk 8 inch sub....OK but not for this receiver. Sound produced was not enough for the room size. The ProSub 1000 is very tight and and no muddled output and only turned the volume to about 30 percent. Highly recommend after listening to a lot of sub woofers. Buy this one ...you don't even need to audition any others!

after talking with the magnolia expert, he was very willing to take the time to show me the difference in the subwoofers. after looking between numerous subs. this one here fit my speakers perfect. i matched them with the Klipsh quinette III, and a yamaha reciever. also purchased the M series monster cable subwoofer cable, what a huge difference in sound from my old JBL venue series 10 inch. i had to turn down the gain on the sub to about half and turn the receiver down to 0db in order for it to be working properly. the sound is extremely tight and hits hard even when turned down. i highly recommend purchasing this sub over any other ones i looked at!

I bought this sub as part of an HT set-up through Geek Squad. It has a lot of power; however, I noticed that it rattles along my woodfloors when it hits very deep lows. I bought another product to decouple the sub from the ground, which greatly reduced the rattling. For average users, this is a great product and I highly recommend it. However, for real enthusiasts, you may consider a sub with a greater range.

I have a Yamaha RX-V863BL Receiver and Mirage - Nanosat Prestige5 speaker system. This is the best woofer for my setup. I first tried this out at the Magnolia Home Theater room and was impressed. When I brought this home I was even more impressed. I use this woofer at a quarter of its max setting because this thing puts out so much base. I almost bought two of these as I was not sure if one would be enough however I decided against it. Glad I only bought one and if needed I would definatly buy again.

An early purchase to my new surround sound / home theater stem about 7weeks ago. Great savings as an open box item. This subwoofer works really well with my Denon receiver & compliments my 5 Martin Logan surround speakers with smooth integration. My budget was out of reach for the Martin Logan sub, but this Difinitive sub was a great alternative. Very pleased with the clean lows end sound without being muddy.

I had a dual sub setup which consisted of one Prosub 800 and one Prosub 1000. I replaced the 800 with another 1000 and it evened the base out nicely. Now when I view movies the base has a strong, even sound in my theater room. I highly recommend a dual setup to all prosub users!

I purchased the definitive satellite speakers about a year ago and have been extremely pleased with them. When my existing subwoofer could no longer fill the media room with deep bass, I looked again to Definitive. As a person that primarily will be using this sub for movies, I believe this represents the best performance for the price.

This product is easy to setup and when you set it up correctly it will give great sound.

I bought this sub after listening to it in the Magnolia showroom. I loved how clean and tight the 1000 sounds. I have it paired up the Definitive 800 front and rears and the 1000 center... and they all blend together nicely. I highly recommend this sub and I am impressed with the whole Definitive line.

I replaced my old Velodyne sub , And I have to say I have been very satisfied . I primarily use it for Video games and movies .I am definitely thinking about getting a second one

Exchange it for a Polk SW110,read all the reviews, good solid performance,BIG !!!!! difference from the Polk,18 Hz-150 Hz, 300 WATTS!!!!!!!!!!!!continuos, not peak.My ears are bledding and hurt thats good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoy the Definitive Technology ProSub 1000 Subwoofer as it delivers really nice crisp bass audio. Just love the way it allows me to "feel" the sound.

This subwoofer delivers solid and smooth bass. It is paired perfectly with the Pioneer Elite VSX-53 and other DefTech speakers.

This has been an excellent speaker for years. Most recently think I need to have it tuned and checked out. It appears to come on with heavy bass then goes off. But have had it for years without problems. Great purchase

Thunderous sound you can feel. My movies have never felt so good.

Very good sound quality. It fills the room but it is not punchy. At 75% of the power "volume control on the side" the driver cracks badly. Two of this would do the job, but that represents more speakers and more wiring and more money.

The cabinet rattles badly when it tries to reach the lowest (both music and movie), even at regular volume. When it doesn't rattle, the sound overall are muddy to me.

After two years the unit has failed. Fortunately I have a Geek Squad protection agreement.
