Best subwoofer we have ever owned for our sound system

Product has been performing as advertised so far! Happy with the sound it produces. Definitely adds a new element for action movies!! Install was easy and fast. I'm happy with this product!

This is a great subwoofer in a very small package. What an improvement over a Polk that came in a set.

Upgraded the 600 series that we had purchased as a package and the sound quality is far better, movies sound more like you are in a theater.

I was very impressed by the output capable of this subwoofer. I am using this to compliment a set of full range stereo speakers for 50% music and 50% movies, and I was able to fill the low end voids that seemed to exist with my room's acoustics and speaker placement. I recommend something without a passive radiator if you care about super high impact explosions in movies; otherwise, this subwoofer can do just about anything you want it to do.

This sub produces good punch, especially for its small size. This sub has a sealed enclosure with a "low bass radiator" on the bottom. This setup can cause the speaker to "hop" around at high levels when placed on a smooth surface. I use it in my 5.1.2 system. For my taste, it is excellent for home theater, but not as enjoyable for just listening to music, as I prefer a ported sub for music listening. Overall a solid choice if you need a sub in a small space.

This unit sounds great and has more than enough power to carry my speakers for the living room.

I read a lot of reviews, but going into a MAGNOLIA demonstration room and hearing the Pro 1000 speakers (previously purchased) and the Pro Sub 800 together was all it took to purchase the Sub. Even better was the Magnolia Sound demonstration Room had my exact Yamaha amplifier. BEST BUY MAGNOLIA products are awesome. But being able to go there and HEAR the difference between products , is something that REVIEWS can't give you. But the Definitive Technology Pro Sub 800 is very well suited for 7.1 Surround Sound .

After buying a new home tv and stereo system at best buy, decided I needed a woofer for base. glad I got this one. Great bass and adds to the system

A small subwoofer speaker that packs a punch. It gives good bass response and is the perfect low end match for Def Tech studio monitor speakers, for a full sound.

Added great low end sound to my old stereo system that doesn't have low level LFE connections. ProSub has a low pass filter and volume control to balance with the connected monitors.

Excellent small 300W speaker. I reconfigured my media room and had to replace a monster 300W Boston Acoustic sub. This did the job. No difference in performance. Half the size.

I've been very pleased with our three Pro 800 subwoofers. The only reason I did not rate this five stars (which the unit deserves based on the audio performance) is that the power supply in the unit is apparently a "dirty" switching power supply that puts out electrical noise (EMI) into my home electrical wiring, thus interfering with my light control system. I had to purchase a line filter (one that the unit plugs into) to prevent this noise from transitioning to the rest of the house. The other two Pro 800s do not exhibit this behavior, but the fix cost me $18.99.

Needed a replacement for another brand that failed and could not be repaired. Great bass sound and I really like the volume control on the side.
