This USB DVD drive exceeded my expectations. It’s lightweight, compact, and incredibly easy to set up—just plug it into a USB port and it works instantly with no extra software needed. I tested it on both a laptop and a desktop, and it performed smoothly every time. I highly recommend it!

Needed CD/DVD drive because my new laptop came without one. Reads and writes data very easy and plays DVD Movies. Very thin and light, just side into your Laptop Bag and you are ready for work or play.

Another awesome plug and play device! I recently purchased an all in one desktop computer that came with no DVD. Recently retired, I do not want to do a monthly subscription to Microsoft Office and I still have my installation disc for Office 2007 that still works with the operating system 10 windows. I had absolutely no issues with installing my Office package. The DVD is very slim and it fits right under my computer out of the way.

For the price, it perfectly competent and it introduces you to a new software tool which I would have never encountered and is easy to use. It may not be the metal build of the LG slim dosc reader, but it is a fraction of the price for what it's worth.

This external DVD player is perfect for a newer model laptop. Since many no longer have internal DVD drives, and not everything is available on the Internet, it's essential to have an alternate method of installing programs. The drive also allows you to write DVDs for providing clients with copies of your work. This external player is an excellent value for it's relatively low price. I have always used Dell computers and peripherals with great success.

Bought a new laptop that did not have a DVD. Rarely need one, but this was on sale for about 1/2 price and is a quality product. Have some older software on a disc and also load music CDs sometimes. Is plug and play.

I needed a drive for my laptop and this one was easy to use; however, keep in mind you will need some additional software to be able to play DVDs. I have tried to make it work for DVD playing with windows 10 without luck. Not that quiet but it will get the job done.

It does what I need it to do i.e., Google searches, email, and zoom meetings.

It is super lightweight to handle and slim to store and carry around. Quality is good as expected from Dell product. Watched a couple of DVD movies on my laptop and worked flawlessly. In a true sense, it is plug-and-play. The box contains a DVD containing software for writing DVD. But Haven't written any DVD yet. Very pleased with the purchase and product and service by Best Buy.

Slim and good looking! Not bulky and easy to plug and play use. Nice add on for a gaming computer with no disk drive.

It's like I have my Sony Discman back. Super light so it feels like I'm going to break it when I open the tray, must be plugged in (my discman has horrible battery life) and it spins discs. Jokes aside, a great drive to add for a PC that doesn't have one. Small and easy to store when not needed and not so cumbersome that its a pain to take out and use.

Good product, too much bundle ware, but that is a manufacture issue

Upon discovering some of my home DVD movies would not play on my DVD player hooked up to my tv and the fact my computer does not have it either I purchased this to connect to my computer for my use. It was easy to attach to the computer. When I plugged it in it instantly started to work and all the DVD's now can be seen. Love it

My new computer doesn't have a slot for an optical drive. This external drive works well in copying my CDs to the new computer. I use iTunes for Windows rather than the software that comes with the drive. I haven't burned any MP3s onto disc yet, but I assume that will work well, too.

Got this on sale at Best Buy. I used my $10 gift certificate and got this for very little money. It is a very compact unit. No drivers had to be installed. It was plug and play and works great!

Bought on sale for less than $20. Perfect for ripping thrifted CDs to MP3. Since most PCs these days don't have a disk drive, this helps me avoid turning my desktop on just to rip a CD. It is plastic and very slim, so it feels fragile. But so far so good.
