Good product, got it on sale, open-box in store. Good specs for the price but it did tend to heat up and run the fans on the higher end games. Also had a small issue with the screen going black upon leaving sleep mode. Other than those minor issues this was a great purchase.

Overall a great gaming laptop with a crisp vibrant display, let down by its lack of expandability and small hard drive. Hard to play many games when there's only room for 3 to 4 modern titles.

I typically use the pc for music and making beats. I play a few games here and there. It is more than capable of handling most titles for the most part. I have no conplaints. Has a decent battery life for most non intensive tasks.
Has a great build quality. Solid and sturdy, although heavy.could use a secondary ssd port in my opinion.

Super Well Made & Fast Gaming Laptop!

Excellent performance from the games I have played so far! I have had this laptop for 2 days and I have ran Minecraft with 200+ frames and sometimes in the 300 fps mark. With ray tracing enabled on a RTX Minecraft made map, it ran at 50-65+ fps! I must include that this was on max settings as well as these other games; CS:GO - 260+ FPS Max, DBD - 80-120fps. Apex Legends - 90-115 FPS. Secret Lab (Steam) - 64ish FPS. (I think they cap their game at 60).
Overall all of the games I have tested I have had no problems with as long as the game is well optimized and not a poorly made indie game from steam or google. Make sure you play well made games to get stable performance that you WILL not be disappointed about.
If you want 144+ fps in every game I would spend an extra $200-400 and get the next model up. I had a budget of $800 and got this thing on sale instead of the $950 and it was the best purchase I’ve made. So happy about my laptop :). It multi tasks SUPER well with YouTube, School, Gaming or anything you can put your mind too.
I would also upgrade the ram to 16gb which I have yet to do but it will increase the fps by 10-30%. It has 8gb but you will only get around 6gb to use for multitasking and games (as shown in my command center). The laptop comes with an Alienware Command Center which allows you to optimize the fans speeds and make it more performance based depending on each game. Every game can be clicked and optimized to change how much speed the fans will put out. Definitely buy this laptop if you have under a $1000 budget.

First "gaming" laptop wasn't expecting much tbh, just some entry level gaming..... but this thing runs every game I own on high or max settings at 1080p, no frameskips, nothing. That was before I stuck another 8gb of RAM in it. The battery life is horrendous, but I'm not taking away points for that, it's a powerful gaming laptop with a nice 1080p 120 Hz screen and those need a lot of power.

An amazing laptop that surely lived up to its specs. The gaming experience is great and the sound is amazing too. The screen is not the best.
Other positives include a great typing surface, expandable ram slots.

Got this computer and within the first 2 days of having it it started acting up a bit, the power button wouldn't work to turn off the laptop. I've had to restart it many times within thr short time that I've owned it whether because one of the games would mess up and then the whole screen woukd say "Game has stopped responding" but it would give me the option to click "Wait|Close app" but I couldn't click any of the button, I would press the windows key and and that would work but using the mouse to go to a different tab or anything else wouldn't. It's got a good look to it though, high quality but has a grainy feel to it that I don't like.

Great device but it’s kinda heavy haha, so if you’re thinking about portability this might not be it, but performance wise, it’s amazing, and I don’t feel it overheating, I always use it connected to the charger, but I’ve used it once or twice with the battery only and it lasted about 3.5 hours

Pretty solid gaming laptop so far! Snappy fast processor, though I did immediately upgrade to a 16GB DDR5 stick of RAM, with the ability to put in a second one later if I feel I need 32 GB, which I doubt I will. I would also like to upgrade to at least a TB SSD in the future as well.

Recently, I purchased an amazing notebook that exceeded all my expectations. It has a powerful processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, which ensures fast and efficient performance. The screen is high-definition, perfect for watching movies and working on projects. Additionally, the battery lasts all day, which is great for those who are always on the go. I did a lot of research before buying and found a great price. It was definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made!

One Year with the Dell G15: A Gamer’s Journey

After owning the Dell G15 (G15RE-A362GRY-PUS) for a year, I can confidently say it's been a steadfast companion in my gaming adventures, particularly with demanding titles like Starfield. Playing Starfield at optimized graphics settings has been a breeze, with no hardware hiccups to speak of. This laptop's performance has exceeded my expectations, especially after making a couple of significant upgrades.Initially, the 512GB SSD and 8GB of DDR5 RAM were adequate, but as my gaming library expanded and multitasking needs increased, I felt the need for more. Upgrading to a 1TB SSD and boosting the RAM to 32GB of DDR5 transformed my experience, allowing for faster game loads, smoother gameplay, and the ability to run multiple applications seamlessly in the background.The AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU have remained impressively reliable, handling everything I throw at them without breaking a sweat. The 15.6" FHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate continues to impress with its sharp, vibrant visuals, making every gaming session immersive. The energy-efficient LED backlight is a bonus, contributing to longer battery life during my on-the-go gaming sessions.While I was initially skeptical about the need for such a high refresh rate, it's genuinely enhanced my gaming experience, providing fluid motion and reducing eye strain during prolonged sessions. The laptop's build quality has stood up to a year of use, still looking as sleek and stylish as the day I got it in its Phantom Grey finish.One of the standout features has been the cooling system. Even under heavy loads, the dual fans kick in efficiently to keep the laptop cool, ensuring that performance isn't throttled. This was particularly noticeable during long gaming marathons.In conclusion, a year with the Dell G15 has solidified my opinion that it's an excellent choice for gamers who need a reliable, performance-oriented machine without going overboard on price. The initial specifications were more than adequate for entry to mainstream gaming, but the upgrades I made have future-proofed it for years to come. This laptop has not only met but exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to many more gaming adventures with it.

great computer with the right price and expectations.
Pros: silent when used for non-gaming;
solid build quality;
good speakers;
good screen (unless you are graphics designer or pickg gamer)
Cons: Windows 11 (not Dell's fault)
touchpad (subjective);
one has one slot for a SSD (while some of its peers have 2)
pushes its limits when playing (Call of Duty Warzone)
slippery plastic case, needs a few rubberized grips (easily foresee someone dropping this on the kitchen or library floor)
Bottom line: this is an entry-level gaming computer. For Minecraft great, for a demanding gaming, get something more powerful than a Ryzen 5!(and don't pay more than $659 for these specs: Ryzen 5+ Nvidia 3050)
