I have always been a fan of Dell Monitors as they are so easy to setup and use with any machine. I decided to try this one out for a simple gaming pc that I have setup in my office. I was very impressed with the packaging and all the included connection cables it comes with. You are provided a choice of HDMI , USB DVI and a nice long power cable. The monitor cords are about average in length so be sure to plan your computer desk layout accordingly. Setup of the monitor was extremely easy, the parts easily come together and with plug in play no additional steps are needed. The monitor itself has some great options for customization along with being able to setup shortcut keys with the buttons on the back. The best thing about this monitor is the overclocking refresh rate ability. instead of the 240Hz, I was able to overclock it to 280Hz. The best part was windows 10 detected the change and allowed refresh rate on windows side to match. With the overclocked monitor I have not seen any tears or display issues when playing with games. However I cannot speak towards if overclocking will impact the lifespan of the monitor. So far everything has been working smoothly. Overall I strongly recommend this monitor for those who are wanting to get into gaming or building as cost effective mid-range gaming machine.

I’ve been using the Dell 280Hz monitor for a little while now, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The high refresh rate makes everything feel incredibly smooth — whether I’m gaming competitively or just browsing, the difference is night and day compared to my old monitor. Motion blur is practically nonexistent, and fast-paced games look crystal clear. The picture quality is also fantastic. Colors are vibrant and accurate right out of the box, and the brightness levels are more than enough for any lighting setup. The monitor’s design is sleek and minimal, with thin bezels that look great on my desk. The adjustable stand is a nice bonus too, making it easy to set up exactly how I like it. Another thing I really appreciate is how responsive it feels. Input lag is virtually unnoticeable, which gives me a serious edge in competitive gaming. Dell also provides some solid built-in settings that make it easy to tweak for different games. Overall, this monitor is the perfect balance of speed, quality, and design. If you’re a gamer looking to upgrade, I can’t recommend this 280Hz Dell monitor enough — it’s worth every penny.

The Dell 25 gaming monitor - G2524H is an adequately sized external monitor for gaming usage. The screen size is 25” measured diagonally. The refresh rate of 280Hz is incredible to experience when gaming and having smooth fluidity. First person shooter games on PC look incredible with this monitor since the motion is buttery smooth with no hesitation or slowing down. Max resolution on this monitor is 1080P and response time is 1ms. The monitor also is Adaptive Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, G-Sync Compatible, VESA. All in all it makes for lag free and tear free motion when playing games or watching videos. The ultra thin bezels on this monitor give it a nice sleek look. Great for wide angle viewing with 178° field of view. The adjustable monitor is very versatile by sliding up, sliding down, turning to the left and right, tilting up and down, and also rotating from widescreen to vertical screen. For anyone like myself that is on a computer screen all day long for work or extended gaming sessions this Dell monitor offers ComfortView Plus to minimize eye strain on the user and decrease blue light emissions. As this is specifically meant to be a gamers monitor there are some fun features factored into the presets. Dell has monitor presets such as Night Vision, Clear Vision, Chroma Vision, and Crosshair vision. These various settings can help to enhance a gamers experience to make game visuals easier to see and enjoy. Playing with the screen placed vertically or browsing multiple panes is a great to have feature for flexibility. Dell provides everything needed to get this monitor up and running right out of the box. The assembly of the base and neck are easy to do and installs very easily without tools. Included in the box are a power cable, DP cable, DP to USB-C, and usb 3.2 to upstream cable. And for the various connection ports, there are many. Power connector, 3 USB ports, 2 DP ports, HDMI port. The ideal monitor for a gaming, streaming, or everyday setup. The monitor feels adequate for my home office and gaming PC. Larger screen size than my laptop, but also not gargantuan to be overwhelmed.

Using this monitor has been fun, and my complaints are minor. Below are my thoughts on the Dell G2524H Monitor. Note: 280Hz is not enabled by default. This an overclocked setting that can be turned on through the monitor's menu. [PROS] Fluid Experience: Playing games above 240hz on this device has been great. Response times have been instantaneous, and motion has been extremely smooth without any tearing. I not only reached 280hz, but I almost sustained it entirely throughout gameplay with some FPS dips down to 272. Joystick Control : Altering the settings can easily be done through the directional knob behind the monitor. I very much prefer this method as opposed to the multi-button solution. Important cables included: Along with a standard DP cable, a DP to USB C cable and USB Type A to B cable (for hub functionality) was included also. This allowed me to use multiple connections right out of the box. This shouldn't be a surprise, but I have had other monitors with similar ports, but only 2 cables in all. [CONS] Single HDMI Port: This monitor (and pretty much most gaming monitors) are designed for modern desktop GPUs which will typically contain more DP output ports than HDMI. However, I prefer to use extra HDMI ports for connecting to other devices as well instead of using adapters. No HDR: Although HDR is not common at this display resolution, it could add more value. I do feel that this offering would enhance the viewing experience and add more distinction compared to similar monitors at least 240hz. [CONCLUSION]: Overall, the Dell G2524H offers a very enjoyable gaming experience. A difference might not be noticed if your current display reaches 240hz already, but this is a considerable jump if you're coming from 144hz.

This monitor really just gets to the point without all the frills of what typically comes with a "gaming monitor", which I really appreciate. And by "frills" I'm referring to all the unnecessary aesthetics and sometimes bordering tacky lighting. It also has a fairly tame profile and isn't overly bulky. The set up is incredibly straight forward, as one would expect, and the box comes with all your essentials: (a) Adjustable stand + base (b) Power Cable (c) 1 x USB-C to DisplayPort Cable, (e) 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 A to B upstream cable, and (f) 1 x DisplayPort cable. This is nice to understand in advance so you have the appropriate ports on your PC/laptop or adapters, if necessary. This monitor, like most Dell screens, is easily adjusted for lowering and raising the position and also has the option to rotate the screen 90 degrees to have it sit in landscape or portrait mode. I'm a casual gamer and use my desktop space mostly for work so it's nice to be able to use the monitor for an actual gaming screen but also revert it to portrait mode for when I'm having to work through documents. You can see in the picture that I uploaded that this monitor comes with both buttons and a control stick to run through all your configurations. It has all your typical settings for Brightness, Contrast, Source Input, General Display Settings, and personalization. The Game settings are nice to adjust response times, dark stabilizer, color settings, and overclocking up to the 280 Hz (default is set to the 240 Hz). I didn't find a massive difference in performance between the 240 vs. 280 Hz but I'm sure others might be able to notice the difference, especially given my somewhat casual gaming use. Generally speaking, this monitor is a phenomenal entry-level gaming monitor with a great price point. I would highly recommend!!

As a reasonably priced 24.5" gaming monitor, it works great. In addition to the basic monitor functionality, it's got a USB hub which simplified my setup. It's also got some features intended to aid in games where there's very dark areas you need to explore. The sole reason for extracting a star is that it's got a tall non-adjustable stand. YMMV, but I prefer a shorter stand allowing me to use a platform under which I can push my keyboard to temporarily free up desk space.

Great budget monitor, 244Hz, adjustable brightness and contrast for wonderful color accuracy and viewing comfort. Plus I have a dual monitor setup, so I was able to exactly match the look for both, so it's not awkward switching. Haven't had any heat issues, but I also don't overclock mine.

Amazing monitor, 280Hz with a 1ms response time (with the proper DP & USB-C setup) has zero ghosting issues and for 1080p it is a very sharp display.

I chose this monitor due to the Dell name, the size (perfect for the distance I would typically be from the monitor), refresh rate and the price. It turned out to be a great choice.

Very good monitor. For 1080p actually has the best picture I’ve seen on a 1080p monitor. It’s extremely smooth when you can get the high refresh rate. My only issue is I’m blind and can see well so hard to adjust to the slightly smaller size but aside from that great monitor

Solid 1920X1080 gaming monitor. I like that the screen is 24.5in vs a 27in as the resolution gets too stretched in my opinion on a 27in. This is a very solid gaming monitor if you want 1920X1080.

Honestly a great monitor overall looks amazing big enough and it has a 360hz mode .. not bad for the price at all
