Since it’s my first purchase I didn’t want to overdo it and spend a bunch of money, but when I found this I was surprised by how affordable it was and how it was able to run a lot of games without any problems.

Bought this to replace a 9 year old MSI gaming laptop. So far pleased with this unit. Couple observations. Physically opening the chassis to upgrade RAM and add a hdd is a pain. Need a pry tool along with a small Philips screwdriver. That said, it has a bay for internal hdd. I upgraded ram to 16GB and added a 2TB Firecuda SSHD for more storage.
I did verify using an usb c to display port adapter that display port alt mode cab drive a monitor via the usb c port. Unfortunately, the discrete gpu is not wired directly to the usb c port, so you cant use VR headsets that use display port such as Oculus Rift S. I couldn't get my Rift S to work with it at least
The keyboard while responsive doesn't feel comfortable for real typing. Though I doubt this unit was meant for real productivity.
Fan noise could be uncomfortable as machine gets warm under load.
So far have not really stressed the unit to see what noise, heat and performance look like for a prolonged, demanding game session. Although, I have played multi hour multiplayer Stardew Valley sessions on this unit and had a lot of fun. Thus far, very satisfied for having a portable pc gaming platform.

I use this mainly for work. Overall it’s been smooth sailing. However there are moments when it seems like it’s trying hard to cool off for basic office work. Haven’t attempted gaming with it yet but if running a few things is already making it go into over time I’m not sure how this laptop would fair with something more intense.

I purchased this computer to be able to play games on, I had not done any type of research, upon purchase of this computer. It features a 9th gen i5 4 core processor, Really for 2020 you want at least 6 but this one is a high end processor and it does really well paired with the NVidia GeForce gtx 1660 ti. it handles handles most games with max settings and still achieves a 60fps for most games. The only games i have noticed it doesn't work on max settings is, red dead 2, and need for speed heat, doom eternal works on ulta with no lag what so ever. this computer is def worth the price.

Great Laptop So Far

I bought this laptop to replace a reliable 10 year old (2009) Toshiba Satellite laptop due to Windows 7 support going away. I know some reviewers have stated that the screen is dull but I have paired it with a new Dell monitor and a gaming keyboard and mouse. The laptop is very fast and basically a night and day difference in every way compared to my 10 year old laptop. So far I have only played Fallout New Vegas on it which I had played on my non-gaming Toshiba laptop just fine. So I haven't tested it with a modern game yet to see what it can really do. I paid $699 for mine and believe it was one of the best holiday deals around.

Amazing deal. Got this at Christmas for and excellent price. Will play any games I've tried. This is honestly unbelievable for the price to performance ratio I can't think of another machine even close. Ram is upgradable, for now I'll let the prices fall for the ram though as the 8 is working out perfectly for now. Hd is also upgradable.
Set up out the box very easy. Screen could be brighter, and more color accurate. For photo editing I would use with another monitor or find a different alternative. For gaming it works well. 60hz.,though... For the sale price of 699.99 brand new sale price... It's a no brainier, buy this!!!

Works great for gaming and the kids school work. I wish battery life was longer while gaming. I recommend plugging into wall socket while gaming other than that a great product.

Plays a lot of triple A titles and still does very good with fps for a laptop. Looks good. Weighs about as much as it needs to. The only down side is the storage.

I have been showing off this monitor to my co-workers at the different offices I’ve been traveling to. It’s light weight, no power cord to the wall is needed, and can lay flat! The picture quality isn’t always perfect, but does the job when needing to look at multi-screens. In my case it’s used for spreadsheets, emails, PDFs, and Quickbooks. Keep in mind the power drains your laptop battery. I thought it would be cool if it was also touchscreen, but I think that will be for the next generation of these monitor types. I would definitely recommend this monitor to others.

This is great if you need a powerful office machine that is capable of being a powerhouse whenever you need it too be. I would say the screen is a little lacking for content creation though, by is very snappy and powerful. The biggest issue was the windows license was not active out of the box.

We got two of these laptops for my nephews. They have been working great for the past few months. They can play games on it and it has come in handy for their online classes during these pandemic times. Highly recommend, but wait for AMD versions coming out because the new chips are great.

This PC provides all I was looking for … memory, speed, and USB ports (3). I added 4GB of memory at purchase to bring the total RAM to 12GB; combined with the processor speed (2.4 GH), it responds lightning-quick (e.g., start-ups and shut-downs). The LED display is brilliant, although I typically use a separate monitor. Aside from the normal hassles of initial set-ups and software loading, it has been a great laptop for my (non-gaming) needs; am very happy with this purchase so far. BTW, Geek Squad provided excellent support to ensure proper set-up, and connection with my printer.

Needed something for some low end gaming, and got it with Student Deals, so couldn't pass it up. Also, this is not the GTX 1660Ti, but the Max version of the video card. The power brick is HUGE, and when the fan kicks in it is pretty loud. Other than that it runs game great. Does what it needs to.

Great Mid-range Gaming laptop for beginners!

Not so much for advanced users. It's pretty good even though for the price you can find other options with better cooling and a non Max-Q 1660Ti. The main problem is the CPU and GPU generate a lot of heat with little room to move. The best thing you can do right out of the box is to under-volt it. There's some great tuts on it and cinebench scores improved with this simple little trick. This does have a 1660Ti MAX-Q, very important you understand that the Max-Q is a lesser 1660Ti. While it does use less energy, it produces less results. The salesman did not know this information when they sold it to me and it wasn't until I checked Control Panel that I saw. I couldn't find that info anywhere in store at the time or on the product page. That was the was the final straw for me in returning it.

Very good deal for a used gaming laptop. The GTX 1660Ti graphics card has handled everything I have thrown at it so far. Get good framerates while I'm playing Street Fighter V online, although a good solid connection helps too. It's definitely helped me pass some hours when stuck inside. Storage space is a little low now after installing the games that I have been playing on it, but I'm going to try adding on an additional 500GB SSD when I get a chance. Perhaps a 1TB SSD if there's a sale. Maybe I'll update the review after I do.
