Good things: Haven’t played any game yet on this but this is super-fast. Applications opens almost instantly. Very Rugged.
Few bad things: Slightly heavy, saw a blue screen error in only one week, and has weird body - You can see fingerprint all over the laptop.

This has been a great gaming laptop for me to be able to do PC gaming with my son. I am frequently admitted to the hospital for cancer treatments and it is perfect for keeping me entertained while still getting some father-son time. I've had no issues playing Modern warfare and Forza Horizon 4. Only has 512gb ssd, so I'll be adding a 1tb drive for extra storage and also going to add more ram to make it 16gb. I think that's the only thing keeping it from being perfect.

My son loves it. He uses it all the time. He hasn't had any problems so far. On had a problem with the neck where the the monitor and keyboard are connected. But he is 14 and a little rough.

Plenty of room to upgrade with the additional PCIe and 2.5” SATA slots as well as up to 32 GB of RAM. Good build quality. Plastic body but very little flex. Good thermals.

Probably the best bang for your buck Laptop in2019

This was probably the best priced budget laptop during Black Friday.
I was able to run Multi-player Modern Warfare with High Settings on 1080p and still get over 100 fps. Games like Star Wars Fallen Order could do Ultra Settings on 1080 and be around 50-60 fps. I ended up selling it for the more power Asus A15 Ryzen 7 4800h w/RTX2060. This laptop shouldn't be purchased at full retail, but more around 700 or less.

I was super excited when I first got this laptop, it was one of the best options and seemed like a great deal. When I got it however, it wasn't working great. It crashed, the sound would cut off, and the bluetooth wouldn't work. I figured I got a bad one and tried to return it. It was such a ginormous hassle to return it and I had to talk to about ten different people just to get someone to explain where there was another computer available, and how long I had to give back the bad one. Overall the new one I got works great and I am very happy with it. Could've done with better customer service.

This laptop works and games great! For the price, I understand that the screen refresh rate can only be 60hz, and that is the only complaint I have. Everything else about it is awesome!

It heats when you turn on games for about 20 minutes. And the fan is like by screen bottom sides. It is not worth price really. Also the speakers under laptop.

Fantastic laptop for the price, I got a open box around 500 during Christmas sale. Nothing I can't complain about. I play a lot of fighting games like SFV and Tekken and I was able to play all in Medium settings. I like the screen which is sharp and clear. The build quality is medium and I would suggest uses a separate keyboard and controller to play rather than smashing the keyboard. Other than that no issues.

I was heading to college and I needed to acquire a new computer and since I am a gamer, I thought that this was a good deal. I bought the computer about two months ago and I have to say that it was a horrible decision. When I first bought the computer, it worked fine, but it got hot fast even if I wasn't doing anything. If I had chrome open for about 10 minutes, it was already hot. But, I can usually look past this kind of thing because I've held devices that felt as if they were on fire. A few days later, I started to play a game called SOMA. I was thoroughly enjoying the game, when I kept hearing the fans try and cool off the system in which I decided to keep an eye on the temperature via Alienware. The temperature was on average, so I kept playing. Then it blue screened even though the temperature was in acceptable limits and the room was cold so it could have access to cold air. But temperature was not the only thing wrong with this computer. The system itself had problems when I was trying to update the computer. I kept having issues downloading update files and installing them. So, I called Dell Technical Support for help and I had to keep calling them because my system would not respond to updates at all. Each call averaged around two-three hours in length. Eventually, it was sorted out every time. To this day, I don't know what caused the blue screen, but the hard drive was messed up and I had to send it to Dell to get it fixed. I waited for about four weeks for it to be repaired, even though it was supposed to be one to two weeks for repair. I currently have it now. If you were to buy this system, I would recommend turning off the Dell Turbo Boost so your computer doesn't overclock. For now, it hasn't crashed yet, so if you do get this computer, check the hardware first and turn off anything that over clocks your computer.

Jamie,
We're glad to hear that you have your computer back now and that it's working well for you. If you have additional questions about your computer you can refer to our Product Support Page here: https://dell.to/2NSjl8n.
If you need to diagnose a Blue Screen Error in the future you can follow these steps:
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports". 2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software. 3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly. 4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - https://dell.to/2KVegYj.
