    I purchase the docking Port in June 2024 and it worked fine for about 6 months with an external monitor connected to the DisplayPort 1.4 port. However now in January 2025 the port stopped working and I had to connect the external monitor directly to the laptop.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Most docks are boring, ugly, big, and mostly ignored. Not only is this a good looking dock, but its actually useful beyond plugging things into it! Keeping your phone charged through the day (in portrait or landscape!) is fantastic. My only wish is magsafe compatibility. Would be great for charging airpods!
