Long review ahead: I misplaced my old laptop in a cross country move, and needed a cheap, decent laptop for work. This gets the job done, is a little sluggish in places, which I expected for it being on the cheap side of the world of laptops. But I'm able to do everything I need to do, with a little patience. Would be great for kids, being introduced to laptops, but not good for gaming or streaming. It is just not built for that. I mostly use it for emails, spreadsheets, data input and recreational social media use. You get what you pay for with this. The plastic feels nice and slick on the keyboard so your fingers glide over the keys pretty easily. Battery life is very decent, especially since this is such a basic unit, it doesn't have to power all that much. Oddly enough this computer does not have a caps lock key, but if you hit ALT and the Search button on the keyboard, it turns on. Simple shortcut. Easy to open, yes that is important to me, I've had some way more expensive laptops that are so hard to open. Google platform works well, able to execute everything with ease. TL;DR- Good for the price, wont thrill you but will do what you need it to, with a little slug in places.

Bought this for my middle schooler. Battery life is great. Mostly easy to use. Space bar isn’t as sensitive, feel like you have to mash it sometimes. Otherwise great price and has held up well as a first device for an online active middle schooler to use daily.

No complaints with this chromebook except for screen quality. Unless you are looking at the screen at a precise angle, the display is very muted, not bright at all. If you are standing with the chromebook on a counter trying to look at the screen, you have to tilt it as far back as it will go, but even then it's not far enough for clarity and brightness. Overall though I like the Dell. It's fast, good battery life, and great browsing device if that's about all you want to do. Perfect for students that have google accounts. Video and audio much better than my more expensive Asus android.

New to Chromebooks. My initial thought was these machines are fast. Pages load quickly. Very simple OS. The laptop itself feels cheap made out of plastic, The screen resolution is not great as a matter of fact it's horrible, Not made to watch Netflix. Just a basic Chromebook to browse internet write school papers. And watch YouTube. Very nice overall experience with the OS. Battery life is fantastic. I think if you want a pleasant experience with Chromebook you need to buy a higher end Chromebook. One with a nice screen resolution. But you get what you pay for. Yes I'm happy with purchase for what they are going to be used for. (College)

I bought this laptop to use it when I'm traveling and I take care to do things from my job or update my personal matters. I have been using Google products for a long time, and the truth is worth this product for your day to day. Of course you can not compare it like a PC or Mac, but it does take you out of trouble. With reference to this Dell model in particular, I had previously (for a couple of days) a Samsung, but I did not like its design (it had manufacturing problems with the AC charger) but it had a much better image quality on the screen, Compared to the Dell. Apart from that, the Dell chromebook works perfectly and fulfills its purpose.

I love that it is small, lightweight and compact. My only concern is that there are a lot of applications I have trouble accessing because it is only has google chrome.

So far so good. Small, light and long battery life. Great for students. Seems to do it’s justice.

The notebook is the perfect size, compact. Small enough to carry around but able to do things like my 15 inch laptop. The only con is the display could be more sharper and the sound be a little more louder.

Laptop is super fast and handles all of my sons school needs (ie. google docs) and internet use and much more ,Long battery life!

Very easy to use, but I would only recommend if you use a Gmail account. Other wise it would be more challenging to use and get use to. Other wise its great fast and easy to operate for mainly an email/web computer.

Perfect for older kids ( mine is 11 ) easy to use and works well. She wanted it to support more games (Minecraft, roblox ect) but she complains it runs too slow. However that's what an xbox is for so overall perfect!

I purchased this Chromebook for my nine year old granddaughter for Christmas. We have been been extremely happy with the performance of this laptop. It is perfect for kids, senior citizens, or first-time computer users. It is a simple machine without a lot of the things that can become confusing for a new user. It is best for getting on the internet. If you need to write your thesis or create complicated mathematical spreadsheets, then this device is not for you.

Great little machine right out of he box. Lightweight with long battery life and doesn’t get hot in your lap. For the money you can’t go wrong.

Bought this to take along on our vacation to Disney World. Flying so did not want to take my laptop. Very small and light. Worked great for the necessary emails and Web Surfing on the trip.

Standard chrome book capabilities, great battery life, and very affordable. Would have liked a better screen quality though.

This commuter is a perfect starter. It’s super lightweight, easy to navigate, and simple for my 5 and 6 year old.

Coming from using a larger laptop with touch, this machine is good but having to get used to a much smaller machine takes getting used to. I love the light weight. I am disappointed I need a wireless mouse which means I can't sit with it on my lap.

I purchased 2 of these for traveling. 1 for my wife and 1 for me. Let me tell ya, these 11.6" Chromebooks are fantastic travelers. Small enough to fit into my carry-on luggage and light enough where you don't notice the weight. Fires right up with your Google account and off you go. I am able to perform all the functions I normally do with my home laptop. I am able to access ALL of my normal documents, videos and photos. This is an Android based device, so you can go to the Play store to download all of your favorite programs (Games too!) I can watch Netflix when I am on the road! Perfect.

This is a good laptop, especially for this price. I used it for internet and email, I also use office software on it. So far so good.
