    Crashing Issue

    Over the past two weeks, my laptop has crashed numerous times, and I'm not sure why. Each crash occurs when I step away for a few minutes and return to find it unresponsive. This is incredibly frustrating, especially when I'm in the middle of writing something and Microsoft fails to recover the most recent version of the file.

    Overall Great Budget Laptop

    This is a decent budget touchscreen laptop. At first glance, this machine is beautiful. The stock images of the Blue Lavander do it no justice. The laptop itself is lightweight and sleek. Setup was a breeze. Walking through all of the prompted steps for set up and updates took less than 10 minutes. I really like this keyboard. For me it has a really nice feel when typing. Many times when getting a new laptop it takes a few days to get used to the spacing and feel of the keyboard. I did not have that issue with this one. The fingerprint scanner was a nice touch as well. It was super simple to set up and has worked very well. Some fingerprint scanners can be finicky especially because I have a big scar on my right index finger. However I have not had any issues with this scanner not reading my fingerprint. The 2-1 feature is neat. This is the first time I have had a laptop with this functionality. the touch screen is very reactive, but also not overly sensitive. I love that you can flip the screen backwards and have a flat, tablet like feel while having all of the functionality of a laptop. I so have a Surface and I feel this is much more capable for laptop type functions such as spreadsheets, ect. In the factory settings, the screen is a bit dim and not super vibrant- but with a little tweaking of the settings the machine produces a great quality image. The bad: There are only a few things I wasn't super satisfied with. One is the webcam. It left much to be desired. In the day and age where people are doing much more from home (work, school, get togethers). The images are not very crisp at all. they have a bit of a pixled blur around hard edges. It also does this some when moving around also. Picture attached to show image quality. I have another Dell laptop for work- and the webcam is a much higher quality image. While this is a bummer- I had to remind myself that this is still a relatively entry level laptop. The other negative is how little Ram this has and the fact that it is not upgradable. Something to keep in mind if this is going to be used for more than some basic web searches, word docs and occasional streaming.

    I returned this laptop due to one major annoyance. The fan was always running and also loud with just web browsing even after adjustment was made to reduce the performance. It must be due to the AMD chip that came with it. Hopefully others are having better luck with the Intel chip. One other minor setback is the screen is not very bright.

    This is a nice laptop. I like the overall look and feel. It is quite sturdy and the screen hinges seem to be well made. I use the laptop for internet searching and general admin. It works well and the touch screen is really useful. I like the fingerprint logon. The in built speakers are pretty good too. It is a tad heavy for a small laptop. That's my only minus about it. It is good value for money and I would recommend it for an average user.

    I wanted to buy an advertised Samsung with 1terrabyte memory as advertised but it didst exist so zi bought this. Haven’t really had much use of it so far. Ice heard good things about Dell but never owned one b4.

    Pc is decent for the low level user. Those into gaming or high demand apps will find this pc underwhelming. Also not a fan if the lack of usb ports (only 1) making it hard to use peripherals

    I purchased a Dell open box laptop. It was advertised and marked as being in excellent condition. It came with a power adapter that was not compatible and the battery was dead. Dell was great about sending a replacement battery and a tech to install. I realize that getting something open box could be a gamble, but it shouldn’t have been marked “excellent condition.”

      Here are the steps to help resolve your touchpad issue:

      1. Ensure the touchpad and your finger do not have any dirt, grease, liquids, or food on them (the touchpad has to make good contact with your finger to work correctly).
      2. Ensure that the touchpad is turned on.
      3. Save any data, close any open programs and restart the computer by using a wired USB mouse (if available) or Bluetooth mouse if it is already installed, if not, press hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to turn the computer off.
      4. Unplug everything except the power cable.
      5. Turn the computer back on and retest the touchpad.
      6. When the cursor does work correctly, attach one device at a time, and test the cursor movement to see which one may have caused the issue.

    This touch laptop, Dell Inspiron, has a perfect size, color, easy to work. For me, am not too good working with computers and electronic items, is perfect. Today, unfortunately 6 weeks after I bought it, I had to visited Best Buy because a problem happened. The computer has to be shipped for repair.

    Uncomfortable to use in my lap

    I am replacing an older Inspiron that I really liked. This is listed as a laptop but unfortunately, when the screen is upright, the rear edge is designed to elevate the keyboard on a desk. But this puts the sharp screen edge on your legs when used in your lap causing leg pain. I found all the edges are sharp and uncomfortable compared to my old model.

    Laptop was good but had issues within 2 weeks

    I purchased this laptop brand new and it ended up having issues. It kept going to a blue screen than telling me no windows detected. I had to work with dell so am now laptopless until they get the laptop repaired and sent back.
