I don't know if it's Dell's problem, AMD's, or if I just got a lemon. When I first powered it up, I got the blue screen of death. Issue's with the BIOS right from the start. I finally had to do a factory reset before I ever even got to the first setup screen. Then nothing would update, nothing would bluetooth, I had to get online and do manual updates from AMD's site to even get it to start doing auto updates on its own. I messed with it for a couple days and decided it was time to go. It was just 1 thing after another and it was becoming clear this this was going to be a never ending hassle. The funny thing is, I upgraded to this one from the exact same laptop with the Ryzen 5 and it worked fine. I thought going to the 7 would be an upgrade for processing speed. I liked them because both versions will accept 64gb of Ram and at least 2tb of storage(maybe more). Like I said, I wanted to like this laptop because of the upgradeability and the choice to easily replace and upgrade on my own time and terms, something you don't get with most laptops today, but this was not the one.

Great Choice for college

I am a STEM major, and I needed something sturdy and could take on some of the programs I use and pretty good so far. It is also lightweight and smooth to operate—10/10 recommend.

I wasn’t wanting to get another laptop but after having my other Dell for 9 years it would not upgrade to windows 11. After no choice I had to upgrade to have windows 11, because after October Microsoft will no longer support windows 10. I had someone to help me upgrade to a very nice Dell laptop. It has changed quite a bit since my last purchase. So happy I did.

It runs very smooth and fast and seems to be able to handle multitasking through multiple applications. The fan can occasionally get loud, but it’s quite infrequent, nothing to be bothersome.

She felt it wasn’t right for her business classes after a few months. We got the Dell and she loves it. Files are easy to download and fast. She’s able to do her assignments faster and is more compatible with the schools network for micros office. No more complaints and she is much happier. The Dell was the right choice for her.
