Great deal!! Quite the powerful laptop for the price

This is a beautiful and great laptop. The only reason I returned it was that the screen looked dirty when I opened it from the box, and there was hair on the keyboard, which led me to believe it had been used. Now, seeing my friend has one and talking highly of it gives me second thoughts.

The purchase of the Dell laptop is an adjunct to my Dell desktop and as such allows me to better share information between the two systems. I have been a Dell user for a couple of decades, so I appreciate the quality and functions of their products. This one follows the same tradition only newer with updated features!

As a whole, the laptop works for my intended purposes as a larger tablet adjacent device. The keyboard is good, and having a fingerprint reader as part of the power button is awesome. The touchscreen is snappy and crystal clear. My issues with this device are mainly internal.
Con 1, the ssd is a 2230 size drive with a metal adapter attached to make it fit on the 2280 screw hole. Why? The metal doesn't even touch the chips or pcb of the drive so as to provide even any heatsink capabilities. Why not just put a moveable mount screw into the 2230 slot that can be put into the 2280 slot if needed. Or just use the more widely popular 2280 form factor that spreads the heat out more.
Con 2, the screw mounts for the bottom cover are coming off left and right. The first time I opened the laptop to look at the RAM and Drive, one of them broke off. The third time? Another. There are only 7 screws holding on the bottom cover, and now the front 2 corners are basically unsecured except for the plastic clips built in. Not acceptable. I have never had a laptop break that easily, and I would expect that from a low end cheap brand, not Dell. Disappionting.
