The SSD on this computer is excellent and it makes it super quiet and really fast at processing tasks and starting up. The screen is sharp and has great viewing for all angles. My only complaints are the non back lit keyboard and the screen brightness o is not sufficient more outside use.

The laptop appears to be of okay quality, the keyboard keys feel a little flimsy so I can foresee a keyboard replacement in the future. The look of the laptop and the overall layout along with a good touchscreen, the unit, when on sale, was certainly worth the money. My biggest complaint about the unit is no USB C, so now I need to get a converter. Not a huge deal breaker, just not convenient as one of the 3 USB A ports, or two, could have been made a Type C. My overall biggest complaint, not counted in the review, is BestBuy itself. I purchased as a pick up at the store because they were in stock ... turns out they were not. I could have received the unit many days earlier had I just had it delivered.

The Dell Inspiron 15 Touch Screen Laptop – Intel Core i5 – 8GB – 512GB SSD - Carbon Black is perfect for my needs. It is fast and its 512GB SSD is more than adequate for saving hundreds of short documents, many digital images, and has room for mp3 music. I do not play many games, but the few simple games that I have played (i.e., Chess v1000, and several card games) work very well and fast. However, I would recommend a Core i7 processor if you play high-resolution games online. Core i5 is designed for general use rather than for games. The recently reduced price (around $400) makes it a fantastic bargain. I highly recommend it.

It moves a little slower than expected. However the screen size is great and it is much lighter than I expected. One major drawback for me is it not having backlight because I work a lot in the nights with the light off. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

It works flawlessly. We use it just to do small work on it, not necessarily for work. It gets the job done and the touchscreen is a PLUS.

Love it. I could probably come up with something I don’t like but I use it for fairly basic tasks and it’s great for that. It could be used for more robust computing, but I wouldn’t know.

The Dell 15 inspirion is a replacement for an older, out-dated Dell model. I am very pleased with the larger screen, and of course faster operation. This is money well spent!

This laptop is just what we needed. It works great and has been very easy to set up. So far, it has been very easy to use. The screen is the perfect size. I really like that it has a numbers keypad on the right.

I purchased this laptop on 10/18/24. And it was delivered within a week. So far, I haven’t had any issues. One of the features I like about this laptop…it is light in weight. The size of the monitor is just the right size for me. I also like that it has a touch screen option.

Good reliable product fast internet speed good long lasting battery

I needed a laptop with more memory and run faster than the laptop I was using for my part time teaching job. I download tons of documents everyday so I needed extra memory. This laptop has worked out great and way better than my slow HP laptop I was using.

Really good so far. Works great as my school computer. But it has, only once so far, gotten overheated and froze up so I had to turn it off and on again. Not a huge problem but I thought other might want to know just in case they run into a similar issue at 4 in the morning like I did and freak out thinking you broke it.

Touchscreen is responsive. Battery is decent. I maybe get a good 7-8 hours of continuous work on a full charge. It will do all the basic things. If youre a content creator, I suggest get intel 7 or higher. Get out of S mode!

This laptop replaces an older Dell model laptop. The computer performs adequately enough - it's the software from Microsoft that is the main hangup (i.e. - Windows 11 & Office 2021). We have no issues as yet with the computer. However, Windows 11 and the Home/Student edition of Office 2021 have caused problems. Since Microsoft saw fit to remove the email program Outlook from this version, we've had to resort to the basic email program from our online provider. Their email service is not on the same level of convenience as was Outlook 2007. The other problem is with Windows 11 and it trying to sync everything in the world which we DON'T want. Since there is no written documentation with this computer (other than their ridiculous 1-page picture sheet of the computer) trying to navigate a new OS is a hair puller at best. The Outlook mail service SHOULD be part of all MS office products, not just the more expensive versions. Lastly, written documentation regarding the operation & maintenance, etc. should be provided with all computers - period.
