This laptop is just what I need for accounting work. It has a keypad for all the numbers I crunch.

It does everything my college bound son needs to play basic games and study occasionally.

Overall, very good performance. Backlit keys took a little while to get used to.

I have always been a little leery of fold-able laptops. I had purchased one back in college that seems like an amazing idea, but unfortunately it was doomed for failure due to poor craftsmanship. However this is the second Dell 2-in-1 laptop that I have had the pleasure of reviewing and I will tell you that they have put my mind at ease. As soon as you get a hold of this computer you can feel the quality. It doesn't have the cheap feel I have come to know from competitor laptops. This laptop feels like it means business. And to be honest, it does. This is not your over the top, state-of-the-art, crush every graphic intensive game you throw at it laptop. But it isn't a slouch either. With a very capable Intel i5 processor, a 512gb SSD, an intuitive touch screen, a full keyboard (THANK YOU FOR THE 10 KEYS!), and a solid yet stylish design, this computer will more than handle any of your school or office needs. Since last year's model, they have beefed up the monitor hinge to make sure that this laptop can take even more abuse when being converted from Laptop to Tablet mode. This is the area where I have had convertible laptops fail in the past, but even last year's convertible laptops from Dell felt solid at the hinge points I applaud Dell for not settling and continuing to improve. Speaking of improving on already solid components, last year's model had very good battery life, but somehow they improved upon that as well. I have routinely used laptops while plugged in to an outlet just because of the amount of time I spend on them seems to REALLY tax the battery. Dell is beginning to spoil me. I am not tethered to a wall and I am getting more than a full workday in of constant use without needing to recharge. I do not know if they increased the size of the battery or if they just made the computer's power use more efficient, but whatever they did works. Just like anything else, this Dell laptop is not perfect. It is amazing, but not perfect. On occasion when I flip the computer around to tablet mode it finds itself confused. It doesn't know if it wants to convert to tablet more or stay in laptop mode and sometimes gets stuck in between. I return the computer to laptop mode, then fold it into tablet mode again and it fixes the problem. Like last year's model, there is no ethernet port. I know this is a wifi world. But if a router goes down or needs programmed, its nice to be able to plug directly into the source to troubleshoot. There is no CD drive. Again, I know its a digital world, but don't be surprised when you buy this laptop and don't have anywhere to put your discs. Different from last year, this laptop does not have an SD card slot, but only a microSD card slot. Storage sizes have got smaller and the need for the full sized card is not as great, but I still have some SD sized memory cards that I use and will not have to purchase a reader to plug into my usb port. The one feature I would REALLY like to see Dell put into these computers is SSD and RAM expansion bays. I know this is a thin laptop, but it is so nice being able to take a cover off and add another SSD or stick of ram. Does this laptop need it? No, not necessarily right now. But it would still be nice to have for the future. Everything said and done, this Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 is a solid work station that will leave officer professionals and students alike impressed with its features and power. With the quality construction and favorable specs, it should be a relevant tool for quite a while. Purchasing this computer will not leave you disappointed.

New laptop quickly had problems with the ‘h’ key tpying correctly. Sent off to Kentucky to be fixed and will take two weeks☹️
