    Overall A Good Value

Performance wise and price point wise this is a good purchase. Large screen size that is also touch-screen capable, with a full size numerical pad for number crunching. Despite this size it is still slim enough and not too heavy. For whatever reason this laptop will heat up at random times as you hear the fans kick in loudly to cool it down. It becomes so warm that it is hot to the touch above the keyboard/below the screen. Battery life seems good but not amazing. The whole Windows S mode is kind of ridiculous. I had to quickly jump on a zoom call for work and was forced to leave S mode because you can’t download outside applications. Now I’m stuck out of S mode and constantly bombarded with virus protection ads and warnings that I am now vulnerable. Overall I am still satisfied due to the price, size, touch screen, and 8gb RAM. Just wish it wouldn’t feel/sound like it was going to overheat occasionally, and that Windows S mode wasn’t so ridiculous.

This is a nice laptop if u get one with no problem. I had to return the first one due to irresponsive left click. A powerful unit for a budget laptop ( Got it on sale) . Added a stick of 8GB memory and it flies... Got around 4 hours of battery life. No complaint for the price I paid for.

I just bought this laptop so we would have a spare when the others were down or being used. This is the second Dell I have purchased and I love it. Setup was a breeze, installing security was easy, and the touchscreen works great. The speed is fast when downloading or sending information.

This computer is exactly what I expected. It has the basics for operating. The microsoft suite has to be purchased separately. The touch screen is great for increasing the size to read smaller print better and makes game playing more fun. So far (a month in) I am very pleased with it.

Works fine. Purchased for my 82-year old mother. She wanted a touchscreen & enjoys playing games on it and staying touch with family and friends. The biggest issue is with the 3 months of security protection I paid for, it only gave her 1 month! Not happy about that.

I'm loving it! This Laptop is super fast and can endure easily all my daily tasks. The FHD Touchscreen is excellent, the webcam is also good quality even in dark rooms. The only little problem may be the heating. I think such a great computer deserved a better cooler system.

This laptop was a much needed upgrade from what I previously had. With that being said, I am sorely disappointed about the lack of trial for the windows suite, no backlight(misread..that's on me), and VERY short battery life. Other than that, it's great. I would buy again!

Great laptop for the right price for my child's on-line education. He was in need for a computer to do some virtual education while in-between schools, and this fit for what we're looking for. I've worked with Dell's at work and at home, and they are well built.

This is hands down the best computer I have bought ever. I had my last Dell touch screen since 2013 and luckily I found the same type of computer again! Price was $400 back then and $500 now. The computer is less weight than before and a smaller but the same size screen. You can't go wrong here. The screen is upgraded to non glare which was an issue on my last computer. I bought the table by j5create which is beautiful and functional with power connections included. This keeps the fan from getting too hot when using for a long time! I use the table everyday in bed and its a great to watch tv on bed! Thank you Best Buy you truly are the BEST!!!!! The only CON is no keyboard backlight and the finish is easy to scratch and can stain if you have oil or heavy lotion on your hands. I'm getting a laptop sticker cover from stickerapp for $29 which will make it look super cool uploading my own artwork and solve the issue :)

I bought this for school and it does everything I ask of it. Fast startup and shutdown, works quickly with multiple apps running, quiet, good battery life. Only complaint is screen brightness is a little lacking, but for this price point that’s a minor complaint.

So I bought this Dell for business and music producer. See a review in YouTube, brown said it was a budget beast! These Dells allow you to add specs and max out its potential. In kept seeing i5 dells with 12 gig ram and 1ghz clock speed (nuts). I almost traded the Ryzen 5 in for the i5 12ram but the ryzen 5 has 2.1 ghz clock speed. So what did in do? Kept the ryzen 5, headed over to laptop upgrades and coped a 8 gig memory stick. Stop by Home Depot got me a mini screw driver and went to work before I even turned it on (took only 10 minutes). Then boom, ryzen 5 with 16 gigs of Ram! And I’m thinking about upgrading the ssd. Like I said the review I watched on YouTube this guy said it’sa budget beast, with upgradability (ram, ssd, ?) idk the 3rd upgrade option, but but it. Don’t listen to those guys telling you to spend $700 & $800, trust me I did my research!

Ok first of all if you are having trouble with the top row of keys not working, just hold down the fn key + esc key to unlock. You’ll even see a lock symbol on the escape key when you look at it and that’s why! I saw a one star review and they returned it for the reason why the top row of keys wasn’t working. It’s just a simple fix of pressing the F9 key and escape button at the same time and it turns on the top row of keys. I found that solution in a YouTube video and a person commented the fix. But it was frustrating that I had to go through that trouble to find out the solution. Though it was simple lol! My next problem was the system did not recognize my passcode to get in the computer and then I had to go through trouble to reset to get in. Then after that the computer kept freezing over and over again and I kept having to reset. I did a factory reset probably three if not four times. I tried I think two or three times to connect my computer to my printer. When I finally got my printer connected to this laptop the laptop alerted me that I was already low on memory! Like seriously from just downloading my printer. At that point I had not done anything but download Google Chrome and my printer. I thought this is going to do absolutely no good for me especially if it’s going to be a back up computer for my son and him being homeschooled. I decided at that point after working on the computer all day long that I’m gonna return it and get something better! Even if it’s going to cost me a few hundred more. Ugh! Never really been a fan of Dell! Get what ya pay for sometimes! Had hopes and tried though! Maybe if you just want to surf the net and watch YouTube. Yet it did freeze a lot on me! I say if you just want to surf the net get an iPad or chromebook!

I'm very happy with this laptop. The battery holds up pretty well, the touchscreen very responsive, starts up very quickly. Overall, no complaints. I specifically wanted a plastic case which caused me to zero in on this one and I'm glad I did.

I've always been partial to Dell and this laptop lives up to their standards. It works well for our simple needs and I like the touchscreen. My only regret is that it has no DVD player, something I wish I'd noticed before purchasing.
