While it has 6GB memory and core i5, it is very slow. The touchpad is confusing. I think if it has buttons instead of putting them without identification is going to help. It takes time to start. This computer will be good for kids to work on it since they may not concern about the speed of the computer.

If not please give them a ring at 1 (800) 624-9897 and they can give you a few tips. It sounds like your Inspiron might need to troubleshoot. Please follow these steps: 1) Restart your Dell PC. 2) When the Dell logo appears, press F12 key to enter One-time Boot Menu.
Use the arrow keys to select Diagnostics and press Enter key on the keyboard. 3)Follow the on-screen prompts and respond appropriately to complete the diagnostics.

A bit of a work horse and saved me for a short while but now it won't charge, a piece of the lid has broken off and it won't close and it will now cost me more than I originally paid for it to now try to save my information.

I had always used desktops both at work and at home. The screen is a good size, and I got used to the keyboard pretty quickly. I've always purchased Dell computers and had good experiences with them.
