    Bought this laptop, and thought it was a great deal, but the computer is much slower than i expected. The computer is ok, but I was expecting more, and I love dell computers.

    Worst laptop I’ve ever owned. I bought this when it went on sale, needed a laptop for an online review course a couple weeks later. I didn’t open it until 3 weeks after buying it, the computer was insanely slow and the screen is terrible. I tried to return it and was told returns are only allowed within 2 weeks but they would buy it from me for less than half of what I paid. Since then I’ve used it maybe 10 times and now it takes 5 min to log on and won’t even open anything. Worst purchase ever!!

    This is by far the slowest and most uncapable laptop I have ever owned. Not only is it slow, taking 20 minutes just to open Google, but half the time it will not even connect to the internet. Furthermore, it refuses to do anything I need it to. It refuses to run Microsoft Word, and when it does, the speed is too slow to even be useable. Should have returned as it started acting up a few weeks after I started using it. Do not buy this garbage laptop.

    Still haven't figured out how to set up. Updates were completed as soon as I turned it on, but then there was just a blank screen. Not sure what to do next.

    This laptop was surprisingly slow, even for a budget conscious laptop. The edge is also very uncomfortable to rest your wrists on while typing.

      @CommonSense, Thanks for your review and for your recent Dell laptop purchase. We hope that the following steps will help speed up your computer to the speed you were hoping for:
      Delete temporary files and directories
      1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box.
      2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need)
      3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process. Uninstall applications you no longer use 1. Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel. 2. Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use. 3. Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall.
      4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall.
      5. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.).
      6. Empty the Recycle Bin.

    Thought I was getting a great deal, wrong. Couldn't get first one purchased to update windows 10 so upon geek squad recommendation I exchanged it for a new one. Geek squad was able to update Win 10 for me but laptop continually blue screened error. Ended up returning the 2nd one and got an HP I'm happy with.

    sound on my pc is really bad hence I had to purchase a speaker in order for it not to sound muffled.

    4weeks old and it suddenly got stuck in Dell assist mode. Geek squad could not fix it. Tells me to call Dell. 4hours later Dell says I need to 're install Windows 10! Took it back for a refund that I had to fight for.

      1lulu -We're very sorry to hear that you're disappointed with your new Dell laptop. If you are experiencing slowness on your computer please consider these steps:
      temporary files and directories
      1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box.

    Don't buy this product, it failed due to poor hardware and workmanship. After using this for 10 months the power port got disconnected or loose on the inside of the unit and yet costumer representative from dell labeled it accidental damage so they're charging me $200 for a warranty repair..

    I deal with the laptop because by the time I opened it and starting using it, it was too late but this cpu runs sooooo slow. I was told about processors by the employees and I was convinced this one would be good enough for school work but was wrong. Do not buy! I’m out the money I spent.
