I really didn't expect much, given the low price. I certainly didn't expect a great display, and many have commented that it isn't too good. Well, surprise, it is better than expected. Not as saturated as the "good" displays of today, but it is one-third the price of the premium Samsung. The keyboard isn't backlit, and I will miss that, and doesn't feel as good as the 7Spin, but this Dell is one-third of the price. A user-replaceable battery is a huge plus here. The Dell seems just as fast on its' feet as the i7 Samsung, and I'm aware that Windows 10 is a problem on both. The Dell seems to be more up-to-date, and there isn't as many updates to download. I would certainly buy this again, and I would recommend to a friend. I would think this to be ideal for students & seniors who don't want to spend a pile of cash. I notice the price has gone down $50 since yesterday, and that makes it a great deal!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially got a Lenovo for my Dad (fathers day gift) for surfing the internet, online buys, Hulu/Netflix streaming and video calls... maybe I got a lemon example but the Lenovo was so slow, pretty useless and quite upsetting. Returned that and got this Dell which has the same CPU, memory ect... and what a world of difference. This entry machine surfs faster then my work station. Anyway, Dads happy with his new toy and the fathers day gift ended up being a success. Id recommend this to anyone looking for a basic PC that does everything you need it to do at a more then reasonable price.

Posted .Ehsan, Thanks for your recent Dell laptop purchase and for your review. We know it can be frustrating when a new device does not perform the way we hoped it would. Here are some tips to help with the freezing and lock-ups on your device:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below: 1) Start the computer. 2) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.) 3) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter. 4) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access. 5) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete steps 6 and 7 to see if you are able to resolve the lock ups or freezing.
