Overall this is a very nicely equipped laptop for the price. It will do emails, online purchase and bill payments as well as general surfing and home use tracking. Quick response and great screen.

Great computer, everything on it seems to work. Fast speed. Make sure you give yourself some time for Windows updates straight out of the box. My updates took about 8 hrs.

We mostly use our computer to get on the internet so this computer works good for that. We really don't need to do too much office work on it so I can't say if it is good for that use or not.

This is a very simple laptop. It doesn’t run super fast and tends to lag a lot which gets frustrating. But it gets the job done.

This laptop is no screamer but as open-box purchases go it is better and faster than I anticipated. It was clean and in great shape with all of its parts and the original warranty. Once I set it up for better performance I felt I got $400 worth of machine for the modest price of $300. Can't ask for more than that.

After my wife bought a new Asus laptop I inherited her old one which lasted 2 days before it dies in its sleep (peaceful way to die I guess) replaced it with this and never looked back, great machine. And the gen7 i3 is faster than gen 4 i5 chips. 4 years ago this would have been a high speed gaming laptop.

I'm happy with my purchase. For the price its a decent laptop. First time boot up is slow and there's alot of bloatware on it that needs to be removed but all in all I'm happy

I always had a Dell at work, so decided to try one at home. So far it seems like a great choice. Seems to have enough processing power to handle whatever I've tried with it.

I was looking for a device with DVD/CD player as I make playlists from music I acquire at events and I like to play movies. Also this device will read the memory card from my camera. These devices are increasingly harder to find, but I had no problem finding what I needed at Best Buy.

Can't say anything bad about this computer considering the price point, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I’m used to Apple products and I got the dell to just have for working and it moves slow. I do like the keypad on the side.

I bought this one for my parents, they really loved it and using it pretty often. Good for home use, not for processor savvy/memory savvy applications.

Bought a Dell Inspiron 8 years ago and was pleased so I bought another one to replace the old one. Good value and hope it lasts as long as the old one.

This review is to commend the manager who worked with me. He was just plain AWESOME. I went in the store upset and he went above and beyond to calm me down reassured me and resolve my issue. He save Best Buy from a marketing smear. He made a big difference.

Although Geek Squad removed bloat ware the Dell still seems slower than it should be. The plastic case looks a bit cheap but makes it lightweight. The screen seems crisp and easy to see. Being forced to sign up for expensive annual Office 365 ticks us off but that's the only way to get all Windows applications. We chose this Dell because we like the brand, it was reasonably priced, got fine reviews and will provide the Word, photos, email, dvd that we need.

cmuniz - Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer is running a little slower than you had hoped. As you stated we would recommend deleting some of the pre-installed programs that you do not think you will use, in hopes of speeding up your computer. Here are some additional tips for you: Delete temporary files and directories 1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box. 2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need) 3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process. Uninstall applications you no longer use 1) Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel. 2) Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use. 3) Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall. 4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall. 5. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.). 6. Empty the Recycle Bin. You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tSulGV. We hope these tips help your computer perform the way you intended it to. - Bryan

Could not download Windows 365 when I took this computer out of the box. The computer locked up. If I had not had the Geek coverage, I would have had to pay more to get it up and running. I guess the computer had been sitting on the shelf long enough for there to be too many updates for the computer to handle. Geeks got it all squared away, but I was not happy to have to bring the computer in after opening the box.
