Laptops was not running on battery

Bought two laptops in thanksgiving holiday season for gifts to my daughters. Received laptops on 5th Dec 2019. Since my daughters were out of town I was able to present them on 17th February 2020. After opening and starting the laptops we found out one of the laptops is not working on battery and battery is damaged. Bestbuy/Dell had sent me faulty laptop. Called dell customer support which was another terrible experience of almost an hour. They didn’t want to listen me, keeping me on hold for a longer and absolutely no regret for issue I am facing. Not courteous at all. First they said I had warranty until 3rd Feb 2021, which also was shown on dell warranty check website (I have screenshot). We requested them to replace the laptop since I was experiencing issue right after opening the laptop from the box and clearly it was damaged piece sent to me but they stuck on statement that they can only repair it, after talking to supervisor he asked to send invoice (may be they were not trusting me) so they can check if my laptop can be replaced or repaired. After e-mailing the copy of purchase they straight away replied that the laptop can’t be replaced and only can be repaired. Also, they reduced warranty to 27th Nov 2020 even though I didn’t receive laptop until 5th Dec. I am still struggling to get my issue resolved and not seeing any hopes..!
