This laptop is a good purchase for the price with i5, 1TB and 8GB ram features. The laptop is silent, no processor/fan sound. The only issue I found is that the OS/DELL updates take long time to run sometimes. Also the OS boot time is slower compared to my other HP envy laptop.

I purchased this laptop to replace a 6 year old HP. It was on sale for $349 as a pre-black Friday sale. I am impressed with how fast wireless A/C works. I am consistently seeing 80-90 Mbps. I have found the keyboard to be a little quirky with my cursor jumping around in the body of my text. I may need to look into seeing if it can be adjusted. The laptop is a little heavy but it does have a CD-ROM. I like the fact that it comes with 8mb of RAM. I would have preferred a faster processor but the i5-5200 seems to be fast enough. Don't forget that it comes with a touch screen which I find myself using more frequently than I thought I would. That said, I think you would have a hard time finding a laptop with all these features for $349.

This will be my last Windows computer because I loathe the Windows 10 OS especially because the updates cannot be done manually and it seems as if every time Windows upgrades the OS, they make it more and more complicated. This OS is so bloated and is the least user friendly OS of them all. Used XP for 5 years, Vista for 6 and I wish I could return to either of them This is my 2nd Dell though, bought my first Dell at Best Buy, it lasted 8 years of heavy use! So when it was time to kiss it goodbye I knew I'd return to BB for another Dell. This is simply a really well made laptop, with countless features, all I need. Except for one really bad experience with a Geek Squad rep, I've always had great luck with the sales staff at BB and the manager who helped me with this purchase [an upgraded exchange actually] was no exception. Thought I would hate the Touch screen but am loving it - it's definitely makes working on it more efficient. I also am thrilled that there have been no issues at all [fingers crossed] with the software etc. It's been running great, gets great battery time, the sound and display are perfect for my purposes. I would definitely buy this again but only if it's going to remain stationery on a table. I need to carry it everyday throughout the day and it gets very heavy. Watching Netflix on it - display is beautiful, great sound, couldn't be happier

Got this for our daughter as she started high school. She really likes it, but..... She likes to draw and edit on it. Her only complaint is that it doesn't open more so that she could draw on a flat surface rather than upright like a chalkboard. I know it's a laptop not a tablet. As a laptop, it serves it's purpose well.

I bought this laptop for my daughter who was about to embark on her college career. It was the perfect computer for research, papers, studying, everything she needs. The touchscreen is an incredible feature because so many teams are used to using their cell phone and touching the screen that that's similar experience helps researching or looking at certain images much quicker. Everything with this computer seems to be great and it's perfect for beginners, families, high school students, college students, and even those people who are not completely computer literate like myself have no problem learning this computer. Fantastic price makes it even better. We got ours the week before Black Friday at Black Friday pricing.

I bought this laptop from the Best Buy Outlet center about a month back. I was looking for a new laptop with at least 1tb harddrive, 8G or better of RAM, and at least 15 inch screen for a reasonable price. I got one better with this computer with the touchscreen. It works great, loads quickly, and is easy to operate. Thanks Best Buy!

Bought this during the Black Friday weekend. Got it for less than $400 which is an Absolute Steal. With 8gb RAM and a I5 processor, its a great Laptop for a wide range of users. Photo and Audio/Video softwares run smooth and with a 1TB Hard Drive, you have enough of space to Store a whole lot of memories and work.

This is laptop is a great deal if you are looking for something for basic desktop functions and social media. The i5 processor is snappy and it also included 8gb ram which will blow thru the majority surfing the internet, streaming video and social media. It's also relatively light and a great buy for students

This is a good computer for a minimal frills but strong processor speed. It is an excellent general use laptop that is light and easy to carry, has good battery life and a very usable screen.

The RAM and processor are good for faster net access. I have even used eclipse with android sdk. No drop in performance. Recommended for couple of friends and they are happy with this.

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas and she is enjoying it so far. My wife primarily uses her computer for surfing the web and some general MS Office processes. Nothing too stressful. She's been pleased with the speed and the touchscreen has been a great feature for her. I do more intensive work on a computer as well as gaming, so I won't be using her laptop very much. If you're looking for a fairly quick laptop to do basic activities and want the benefit of a touchscreen, this is a solid choice. BTW, setup was pretty easy but I would suggest downloading one of the free programs available online to get rid of all the bloatware.

In purchasing laptops for my family, I found the Dell Inspiron offered me the biggest bang for my bucks. My granddaughter loves the touch screen as well as the storage that her new laptop offers. Overall, I was pleased to find so much in a notebook that sells for under $400.

I bought this laptop on Thanksgiving for a Black Friday price of $350. You cannot go wrong with this laptop, it has all the right features and specs and is an excellent value. Touchscreen, large screen, i5 CPU,1TB HD, 8GB RAM, HDMI output, USB 3 port. Highly recommended!

It is not the latest & greatest processor but it is more than enough horsepower to stream videos, check emails and use Word/Excel. Housing is plastic wont take a lot of rough handling but is light enough to carry instead of a tablet. Overall great laptop for the price.

A per spec - 8 GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive for this price, it's really a good deal

I have a very good experiance with dell laptops. Too good with battery. Last year i bought lenova. Battery fully drained. Best buy offer this laptop for 350 bucks. Which is very cheap for the configuration in this laptop.my daughter enjoying the touch screen.
