The computer is very easy to use. I love the features that it has. The computer has a touch screen capability along with massive storage. I will be reviewing pictures on this to make sure that I can edit. This computer will have all the capabilities that I need. The price was right also the day after Thanksgiving. I had my daughter with me and she thought it was a great computer to and bought one also. The Geek Squad is there if you want them to set it up and they're always helpful

Got this for my girlfriend. It’s nothing special but she needs basic functions for work, no graphics so we went PC. Without any serious usage, wasn’t at all worried about the speed (which is pretty fast!) and the memory is great. For the low price we got it at, it’s a steal.

Pretty happy with the laptop so far especially given the price. Been actively stripping the laptop of bloatware and upgraded the memory to 16GB for $100 + $40 for a piece of mind install at Geek Squad. Very fast and getting faster. Only compliant now is no back-lit keys.

I had my doubts when deciding to purchase since it has varied review with multiple reviewers stating it was a bit slow which I am surprised given the specifications. Overall, I wouldn't say its lightning fast but its pretty responsive even though I have not tried taking out the bloatware as recommended. I have already installed MS Office and several other programs with no issue of it slowing down. I have not tried installing or playing games on it yet. The touch screen and pad seems pretty responsive. The overall build quality still makes it look more like a budget laptop wherein I see a lot of cheaper laptops which has a nicer appearance. It is also a bit on the heavy side which I find more suitable to use at home than carrying it around all day in my backpack as I did my other almost similarly sized laptop.

Dell makes great computers, but the price of this one was what I liked and the processor core i5 is a good choice and the pc will not get slow for sure. Why 3 stars? Well the comptuer feels cheap of course for that price but i was not expecting it that cheap, all plastic and the plastic feels weak. The screen is not 1378x720 which is kind of bad but i knew this when buying it, for that price and a core i5 you won't get a good screen. Bought this computer for my in-laws and I think they will be fine the core i5 is fast and i won't get any complains that the pc is slow like when you buy celeron procesors .

The product delivers a lot more than promised. Although the product was bought after reading the specifications, however, you ain't really sure until you get to use it. 2 TB hard drive, 8 GB RAM and a touch screen - where could you possibly imagine finding such deal in this price! Further, it is not bulky and the body adds to it's charm. One of the best buys so far.

After reading the reviews, some not so good, I decided to give it a try anyway. My wife wanted a laptop to do here school work on and this had the features that she needed. After setting it up I couldn't see why it got bad reviews. It runs great, has plenty of storage, a touch screen plus other features. Bought it on Black Friday for a great price.

I was looking for a capable replacement for my Toshiba (4 GB RAM, 1 TB Storage) and settled on the Dell Inspiron i5 (8 GB RAM, 2 TB Storage). This is my first Dell and so far I've been very happy with it. The setup and software activation went very quickly and smoothly. Routine activities (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, Power Point) are super fast. I haven't yet installed any computational software (i.e., MATLAB) but I don't anticipate any issues. In addition to the HDMI port there are 2 USB ports which I like since one is used for a wireless mouse (which I prefer over the built-in pad). This system also has a built-in DVD drive. I know some will consider this old technology but I like having the built-in DVD drive since I still have lots of CDs and DVDs and with this drive I don't need to have an external drive when I travel with the computer.

I always research and read reviews first before purchasing any electronic item. I was surprised to see mixed reviews on this laptop. The computer has great specs for everyday use with a 2TB HDD, 8GB RAM, and the Intel i5 processor. I know this will never be a desktop replacement or a gaming rig but for most people it would be a great fit. I don’t understand the reviews claiming that it is slow I updated the OS with the newest updates for Windows 10 and haven’t had any issues with speed. Also, can’t bet the price for what you get with it. I plan on upgrading the RAM with the optional 16 GBs.

I cycle through computers enough where I only buy the computer needed for the task. No extra bells and whistles, not a gamer but more for general office use. This computer works great and has a ton of HD space at 2tb. The speed is average. Nothing special. The keyboard layout might put some off as the key are spread apart so consider a wireless keyboard. After updating and deleting the bloatware the machine does a nice job. Network printers installed without a hitch, MS office transferred in well. The dvd/cd drive functioned as expected. I really have no complaints but I am only two weeks into ownership. My advice is to delete all the Dell s*** that in pre installed and watch the boot speed and functionality including popup windows/reminders improve dramatically.

This laptop was by the far the best bang for buck laptop deal of the Black Friday sale! Is this a total gamer’s laptop? No… but it is packed with power for the business user, which is what we bought it for. Nothing could touch it within hundreds of dollars for its features and performance: with an Intel i5 7th gen cpu with a 10-point touch screen, 8 gigs of ram and a 2TB drive that we only paid $359.95 for, what’s to complain about? I configured it to suit my wife’s business computing, needs fully equipped with Windows 10 Home, and she couldn’t be happier.

Exactly what I was looking for at a good price. Was looking at a different product with 8 MB and 1 TB of storage. Went in the next morning to order the product and the price was higher. Put the specs in that I was looking for and found this one with 2 TB of storage and the same specs that I was wanting. On Black Friday at 359.99 and more storage. This was the one. I have owned Dell computers before and have been very satisfied so this was a no brainer. I also purchased a wireless mouse and a 16 GB Flash Drive. Also, this came with Trend Virus and Geek Squad protection free for 6 months. I carry this on my other computer anyway but for 6 months I just added this one and will use my regular subscription when this one is up. The Geek Squad and Trend are awesome. I know that some people say that is product is slow, but they should really look at there WI-FI and their internet speed. Thanks Best Buy. I am one extremely happy customer.

This dell laptop is loaded with good specs at this price, 7th gen i5 core with 2.5ghz, 8 gb ram expandable to 32gb though site says only 16 but computer settings mentions as 32gb expandable, hd display, cam is avg, windows 10, 15.6 touch screen, rigid build quality, avg battery and 2tb beast storage. Initially you will feel some slowness but i think increasing the ram will bring more speed. I really liked it. Also, you wont get the ms office suite along with it so dats an additional expense. Thanks

Good and decent laptop if you get it in a sale like I did... Like the touch screen and the quality. I5 and 8GB works good, plus a 2T hard disk even better. Try to erase some apps that make it slow as you can see in other reviews and will make it better. You need to tune this Laptop in order to work best. Overall a good purchase.

I saw a similar computer last year and didn't buy it. I figured since it was a pre-black Friday deal it couldn't be that good. So when I saw this deal, I immediately ordered one online and picked it up at the store. There were a pile of these laptops on the floor. I waited a week before opening it and read the reviews about how to speed up the computer. So when I first turned it on, I said no thanks to activating the pre-installed programs. That saves a bunch of time instead of uninstalling them later. The computer still did not perform as fast as my 2 year old i3 laptop. I played around with it for a few weeks and migrated my old programs to the new laptop. I didn't need it, but the touchscreen is pretty neat. After the trial phase, I uninstalled all the McAfee programs. It seemed to speed it up a little, but not much. Finally, I went into the startup menu by typing win-r and typing "msconfig." I hit the "startup" tab and stopped all the Dell programs. I didn't want to uninstall them because I wasn't sure how important these programs are. After restarting the computer, I noticed an improvement in performance starting programs and surfing the internet. So far so good. Try this before saying the computer is slow. One noticeable con is the screen resolution is lower than my HP 17" laptop that cost about the same. However, the trade-off is more RAM and double the disk space than my prior computer. Time will tell if this will bug me. If I really want, I will try plugging it in using the HDMI cable to see if the picture is better. I also wish there was a backlit keyboard. This would be useful for long plane trips. But for the price, this should be good for a few years. For those who missed this deal, if they have the same deal next year with the next generation i5 processor, you might want to consider getting it.

Bought this computer for my parents to do some casual web browsing and typing documents. Black Friday it was in the ad for $350 so it was a good deal for a $500 regularity priced laptop. It definitely has the storage and power to do both! It does have some bloatware to remove when you get it but that isn’t difficult to do. I wouldn’t use this to do gaming or even video editing but for the normal user it’s a great computer.

I bought it as soon as the lowest price showed up online. $359 for a core i5 processor and a touch screen! Cant beat it. So far it has done what you would expect and I am able to use it to surf the web, and I plan to use it to do homework in the future.

I bought this computer knowing that it was full of bloatware bogging it down. It takes some time but once I rid the computer of it it has worked flawlessy and fast as you would think an i5 with 8gb of ram should. For the money this computer is top shelf but be prepared to spend the time to either go through and clean it up or just wipe it from the get go.
