It's good looking good feeling, and the big screen that I wanted, also the number key is a killer! I can't handle laptops that have no number keys, one of the reason Mac is not for me. I would definitely give it a five star if the speed meets my expectation. Because this one has SSD, I expected it to be way faster than my old computer. But it even takes a second to load web page. Plus, One annoying default setting of this laptop is that the F2 key is set to adjust volume, which you would hate when using Excel, whose F2 key is to enable editing a cell and is used so often. That's not really an issue as you can googlmaround and changemthe setting. But I would recommend Dell to not set it as default anyway. I don't feel it's much faster than my old laptop, and speed is my major needs. But it has every thing else I definitely wanted (bid screen and number key). My expectation could be too high. So I gave it 4 star to be fair. We'll see how it works when time goes by.

A little heavy but what do you expect with a 17". Unless you want a backpack, do some searching for a 17.3" "briefcase" bag. Great picture, still has a dvd drive, ssd drive and 2 T drive, not bad.

Good laptop for the price and features available in this range.

This computer has lots of storage and ram, a powerful processor, and a solid state drive combined with the hard drive that makes it load files rapidly. It's very fast and a pleasure to use, although too big to be considered very portable. Highly recommended as a desktop replacement that can be portable when necessary.

It is hard to find a good value on a 17" laptop. This is a good value laptop. The SSD allows for nearly instant boot up. Has a large traditional hard drive. Good graphics on the monitor. I'm still trying to determine the quality of the battery. At times the battery drain appears to be fast and then, without even plugging it in, the % of battery left mysteriously goes back up.

This is my fifth laptop over several years and it is by far the most sophisticated and fast. The visuals on the screen are so vivid and the color depth is exceptional. I use very large Excel spreadsheets and the laptop does not hesitate when loading a large file. Keyboard is responsive and the built in mouse pad is very sensitive to my touch (working with Excel, I use an ergonomic mouse). The number and variety of ports makes it easy to connect to any peripheral device.

my Daughter runs a small ceramics business and this is her office and art show machine. Nice big, clear screen for design, graphics, photo editing and social media. Outstanding capacity for design software.

My husband truly enjoys having this laptop. I’ve also found that it is user friendly. It also has numerous features- we watch movies on it; connect it to our TV to view internet programs; and it is fast.

I just wish it had a quicker operating system. It’s slow to boot up and slow in opening office programs. It’s not as good as I hoped it would be for the money I spent. I’m sad to give this review.

I have kept this laptop in my office on desk as its big screen and superb sound. Its very light and super fast impressed with this dell inspiron.

This is a FANTASTIC computer with a solid-state hard drive and lots of memory It has a lighted keyboard and a really large 17.3" screen, which really helps me--being an older individual!

What I was looking for. Fast and has an excellent keyboard. Screen is perfect.

This laptop was over kill for what we needed but the price was to good not to take advantage of.

Laptop runs very fast. Starts up quickly and programs run extremely fast on the solid state drive.

This laptop is a great size for working on my photos when I travel. The 17” size shows a lot of detail to work with in Adobe products.

Good machine for the price. I can do work and gaming. The solid state drive makes things run fast and it has a large hard drive.

Replacement for my old Dell. Works so much faster with SSD and 2T hard drive. Occasionally glitchy and needs a restart but satisfied overall.
