I purchased this- thinking I would'spend a bit' to get something nicer than I would normally get... most of the features were really nice- but the response from the keys/touchscreen was too 'unpredictable' to satisfy me. I wanted to like this laptop- but needs some work on the key/touch response... all other features are great! @@@@@@@@ exchanged for a Microsoft Surface 2 @@@@@@@

Exactly What I Was Looking For

I have been using this for about two weeks, and I am thrilled with this laptop. 4K touchscreen, 8th gen i7, fantastic trackpad, incredibly fast SSD, and 16GB of RAM. I am used to using my Samsung ATIV Book 6, and I hated it for the entirety of my experience with it. Touchscreen never worked, phantom screen touches that would open programs, atrocious trackpad, and very slow. There is no reason to get a laptop with a hard drive anymore - SSD is simply worlds better. If you're concerned with space, get an external drive. This laptop starts instantly, Windows 10 is incredible, and there isn't much I would complain about. Battery life could be a bit better, but it is manageable with the battery saver and using lower brightness. I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (with the included Dell pen, which is awesome). It's perfect for what I use it for. I often find myself using it in the tent mode with it in my lap. My wife tried to get me to buy a MacBook Pro - but the specs don't add up to what this offers. Plus the Mac doesn't have a touchscreen or the 2-in-1 capabilities. Pass. I was also able to price match a few days after I bought it! Couldn't be happier.

I went into Best Buy about 2 months ago, knowing that I needed a new Laptop, and having a few basic features I wanted, but not sure which brand to get. With the help of a great Floor Clerk, I was able to get this beauty, and haven't regretted it yet! It starts up fast, works smooth, and is easy to navigate. When I first turned it on, the speakers didn't really work, but then I, "tried turning it off and on again" and SHAZAAM! It hasn't had an issue since. Battery life is pretty good, and recharges SO QUICKLY. Literally I can have half a battery of power, plug it in, and it's fully charged in not even 15min. The touch screen has had a few issues where it didn't always register, but nothing big or really a hassle. Overall I love it!

I bought this laptop because I wanted the closest thing I could get to a Macbook air for under $1200. I am bilingual in Mac and Windows and don't have any major preference when it comes to getting the job done. The 4K screen with the i7 and 16GB RAM were the features that attracted me to this model. I hadn't used a Windows tablet, so I didn't know what to expect from the touch screen and stylus. The laptop works as well as can be expected. I've even used it for editing fairly complex projects with Adobe Premiere. My only complaint is that touchscreen is an afterthought with Windows. Windows 10 is not iOS or Android. It's clunky. The 4K screen is beautiful, but Windows 10 and many Windows programs don't scale fonts for the higher resolution. In other words, the problems I've had are all complaints about Windows. If the high resolution or touchscreen productivity is important, spend the money on an iPad or a Macbook. The touchscreen is nice to have, but most software developers haven't been written for touch and it gets very clunky. This machine definitely doesn't work as a tablet replacement.
