I bought this for my teenage daughter. She loves it. I am very happy with the battery life and durability. It’s surprisingly fast, too. The specs are great for the price.

This is the second Dell Inspiron our family has purchased. The size is just right for using at home or while traveling. It is not bulky or heavy. The screen resolution is beautiful and clear. The touch screen is very convenient, and the SSD helps it stay much cooler than other laptops I've owned, plus it is very fast. I've never had to wait while turning it on or off. It does this quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one in the future.

Very fast and smooth. the physical design is old school but classy and elegant. very understated but extremely practical from usage standpoint. The only complain I have is the weight. For a 13 inch laptop with SSD and average battery, its pretty heavy. Apart from that its pretty responsive to use, the screen has some glare issues and its smudge prone to touch.

Not a good introduction to Dell

First off, the machine was an 'open box' unit. It looked absolutely unused. Within just a few days it had frozen twice. The second time was while typing in an IM box on FB. At that point I decided that it needed to get returned. I did a little research and found that some units with the AMD Ryzen 5 have been problematic. I have never had good service from any laptop with a lower level AMD processor and thought that maybe they had made some changes, apparently not. Maybe it is a case of getting a bad one or a good one, but I didn't want to see what issues came later on with this specific machine. Aside from that, it had some really nice features like 2-in-1, backlit keys, login by facial recognition, and centered keyboard and mouse. I just couldn't get past the freezing up so early on and decided to try another Dell with an Intel processor. I am happy with the new unit.

Love this computer. Does exactly what I want it to do. I use it strictly for school and it does a great job. I had to add the Microsoft bundle to it, but it has definitely made a difference to me personally with school. I wish it had a bit of a better battery. It goes quickly. That would be the only complaint I have.

I really like this laptop. I wanted something to start quickly and run fast. I have both in this laptop. My only negative so far: I wasn't told I couldn't use the tablet pen and write on this laptop screen. Dang it! I am past the return time, but would not have bought this one if I had known that. If you wouldn't use that feature anyway, it is a great laptop. Buy it. What you get for the price, it is a wonderful deal.

I love the size of this computer. It fits nice in a backpack and is very light. I chose this to save a couple hundred bucks from an Intel processor and still get a faster hard drive. I haven’t had any issues with speed. The only issue I would mention is the battery life seems to be shorter than I am used to.

I purchased the Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 laptop for my work as a consultant. The size is perfect for me because the keyboard is comfortable enough for an extended period of work yet it is light and compact. I wanted the tablet option because I review documents for research and find it extremely convenient to use it in table mode and scroll through to read and review. Screen quality is excellent. The touchpad is sensitive to light touch and comfortable to use. The backlit keyboard is a small luxury.

    BSOD and lacking battery life

So I'm a college student and I was looking for a laptop. I went to the best buy student sales and found this laptop. Don't get me wrong, the performance was amazing, but there are some cons. First off, if you're finding a laptop with good battery life, don't get this laptop. For me, it performed barely under 3 hours with battery saver on. The backlit keyboard was nice, but the touchpad is a-ok. I looked at the reviews for this computer and it had reviews about people experiencing BSOD (blue screen of death) I was sure it wasn't going to happen on my laptop, but sure enough. 2 weeks into my purchase, the BSOD appeared. It only got worse from there. So this laptop would've been the perfect college laptop if it didn't experience BSOD, poor battery life, and the touchpad.

      Collegestudent,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about the Blue Screen Errors that you experienced. We'd recommend that you diagnose the errors by following these steps:

      1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
      2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
      3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
      4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - https://dell.to/2KvXWfQ.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2u98Cct.

If you'd like tips on extending the battery life of your computer you can try these suggestions:
      Change the Power Plan:

      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.
