Love the easy access to many new programs easy to understand. It was much easier to set up. It will take me awhile to fully comprehend all this laptop offers. Best Busy clerks were so helpful with assistance to buy the computer, it was not in stock but they get it for me and had it delivered to the store at my request.

This laptop does everything I need when I'm in class and doing work outside of class. Only problem is that the battery life is shorter than advertised so I need to charge in between classes at times.

returned first one within a week - the screen was going wild with lines across 90% of the screen. Brought in, BestBuy quickly replaced as they said "faulty monitor". Second one is working nicely ....

On long trip I'd carry my 15" laptop for both email, web access, and photo storage. Then I switched to an older, small, notebook computer. It was lighter, but slow and the small screen wasn't satisfactory for viewing photo images for doing preliminary editing. The Dell is fast, reasonably sized, and better for viewing photos.

Everything I wanted in a laptop. Love the lightweight. Great screen quality. Love the laptop/tablet option. Runs a little warm like many have said on the reviews before, but a great purchase overall.

    SOLID LAPTOP, AMD FOLLOW-UP NEEDED

The build quality is not bad. The cooling system is not perfect but considering its size it's not bad. The real issue is when I found small issues and contacted AMD, they answered that the manufactures are responsible for the driver updates. And obviously manufactures' (including those other than Dell) didn't provide updates on regular base. This is being debated on AMD users' forum. However, overall it is a good laptop which can be improved tremendously with driver updates. I am looking forward to AMD's next generation APUs.

Great laptop, but you MUST remove Dell software

This was a great purchase from the open box area, at only $485, it was a no-brainer after the holidays. I saved more than $200, however -- I was afraid something was "wrong" with the laptop since it was so cheap. Well, the wi-fi kept failing after only about 5 minutes, and I had to restart constantly to get it back. SO, I found another review that mentioned the same issue, and I removed Dell's pre-installed network programs called "SmartByte Network Service" - and just like another customer wrote in his review "... I removed that item from the control panel's Add/Remove Programs and, BAM!, got my 300+ Mbps speeds!" Bottom line: remove the bloatware and you have a great open box laptop and a great price from BestBuy!

This Inspiron 13" laptop from Dell is the perfect personal use computer at a reasonable price. The processor and graphics card from AMD is comparable to the Intel offering.

This HP is great value, purchased for under $550 it runs faster and has all the unique features I needed such as dvd drive and a lan connection. The wireless can be spotty but since you can plug into router no big deal. Fast, quiet and efficient its the best laptop I ever purchased. No longer use my desktop!

The solid state drive is so much better. No fan noise, does not get hot. Starts fast with facial recognition. Nice HD display. I like Chromebooks but they are limited. Nice features on this laptop like touchscreen, the convertible screen and light up keyboard. At 400$, an excellent value.

I’m a college student, I wanted something small I could take everywhere and wouldn’t have to worry about the laptop taking up too much desk space. This was the perfect device, I have had it for a year and 4 months now still runs like new, one issue I found is that it freezes here and there, but if you have Microsoft online or googles docs usually it saves your work before the computer crashes so you’re all good. Also ( I cracked my screen [it fell down the stairs *crys*] so the touchscreen only works on one side for me but over all the laptop still works if that helps :D)

So far this laptop has met all expectations Battery life is good Processing power is adequate for all my applications Touch screen responsive and accurate Screen size is perfect Sufficient memory Backlit keyboard is nice I have not experienced any BSOD's or crashing as other users have complained about. The only thing I have found that I don't like is the location of the power button; on the right side near the front. All other Dell 2in1's I looked at had the button in the upper right corner of the keyboard, not sure why they changed it for this model. Over all I highly recommend this laptop
