Bought this for my son who is in a cyber security club through his high school. This computer has been able to support him making several virtual desktops and seems to be sufficient for the coding they are learning.

The Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 12GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive is just the right mix at the right price. As most O365 comes with a hefty on-line storage 256 Gb of local capacity is just fine. If more "local" is need a small USB drive will do the trick. Speed is awesome, reboot is in seconds. Now in its 5th gen and well balance product for the SMW

For the price of this laptop it is a very good purchase. I reached an average 5 hours of battery use when using the laptop moderately. for the price it is the best deal out of all other laptops I've seen with great battery life, performance, and build quality. I would recommend to anyone in need of an upgrade who doesn't want to buy a cheap laptop every year since they slow down. The only drawback to the laptop is the webcam but it is above average in the end.

Never thought of purchasing a Dell. After reading onlie sites that stated this Model was there choice for being the best laptop for both performance and price. I am completely satisfied with every aspect. THE I7 IS FAST, TOUCH SCREEN is very sensitive to touch and clean to the viewing eye. Back lit keyboard has light touch for typing which is perfect for my preferences. Battery life is about as expected for a price conscious laptop Track pad is works fine .

I was hesitant to take the leap to full solid state drive. I'm so glad that I did. I'm never going back to a movable hard time. The amount of space took a little getting used to and forced me to think about how I store familyt photos, but I think I got it figured out. The access time on the drive is incredibly fast. I love the performance of the laptop. Screen is a little small for my liking but I made that choice when I bought it. Great battery life as well.

Awesome laptop with backlit keyboard, fast, light, but there is one small thing that might annoy you: power off button is located at the very end of right side, and it is easy to accidentally put the laptop to sleep if you're carrying laptop or doing something that involves touching right side. Same for volume buttons: easy to accidentally turn volume up or down.

This laptop offers a great performance for moderate user, that doesn't need a dedicated GPU. It is light and battery lasts 6 hours on average. However, the problem of this laptop is a fan noise. It is embarrassing if you use it on a conference. Everyone will stair at you when the fan turns on.

Easy to setup, light weight, good performance. Did not give it 5 stars because wish it had an HDMI port instead of the C port, ideally two hdmi ports. I know this is the direction things are going in, but tired of having to get adapters and splitters for portables who are trying to save space, but instead make people carry adapters around, and purchase them.

I'm loving my Inspiron 2-1, the screen is readable, multiple interfaces but with much less space taken up than my last 6 year old Inspiron, maybe 1/3 the footprint? Extremely portable but can still serve as your main computing device, you can do the other stuff like watch movies too. I am having some problems in set up regarding email compatibility and downloading the right printer drivers but assume with a little help that will sort out.

I purchased this laptop last week, and received it in the mail on Thursday. I was really excited, since it seemed like a good balance of performance and cost that would allow me to do basic work with data files, word, and also enjoy basic entertainment (music, youtube, etc). It seems well-made and sturdy in build, and looks decent. Not too heavy. The keyboard is nice, and aesthetically the laptop seems good. However, right out of the box from the very moment I turned it on, the fan was very loud and obnoxious. It continued to come on unpredictably even when very little is running (no windows open, no programs open, etc.). This was immediately disconcerting. I set everything up as per the instructions in the box, made sure to download any updates, etc. and I was hoping that the loud fan was just coming on as things were starting up. But, unfortunately, since then if I have more than just a few windows open for browsing -- without opening any other programs -- the fan starts kicking in really loudly. It is very noticeable and unpleasant. It sounds a lot like my ancient laptops when they were on their last legs. I know fans will always make some noise, but this has been really noticeable. It is bad enough, frankly, that it would be really embarrassing to sit in public with something so loud, even when only browsing with a few windows open. So, I'm very, very discouraged. Never seems like a good sign right off the bat. I've used an 8gb inspiron 7000 series purchased in 2015 with up to 15 windows open and multiple programs with large files (excel, word, etc) and only then does the fan become noticeable. Even with all those windows open, the fan on the 2015 model I've used is not obnoxious or embarrassing like this brand new laptop with only a few tabs open doing basic browsing. Very disappointing sign. I am strongly considering returning it. I will give it another day and see how it feels and if the fan keeps being such an issue, but not off to a spectacular start. Otherwise, seems to be functioning acceptably, but the fan is too disconcerting to overlook. I can only imagine what would happen if I actually tried to use more than one program or multi-task in any way. I would've expected better performance in those regards. Hopefully it works out.

Great computer. Goes through tasks quickly, easily carried around, switches between laptop/tablet mode flawlessly. Only two minor issues. 1) The touchscreen isn't as sensitive as I'd like it to be. 2) The speakers could be louder. Overall it's a great computer though. Those two minor issues would not stop me from getting it again.

Love this laptop. I've had it for about 5 months before writing this review. The only minor drawbacks are the fan and power button. The fan doesn't come on too often but when it does, it is a bit noisy. The power button is inconveniently located on the right side of the laptop. Other than that it's fast, light, and fulfills my day to day needs. I haven't had any problems since my purchase. I recommend this laptop.

This laptop is terrific. It's fast, quiet and has many nice features with minimal bloatware. The use of Windows Hello is a nice feature. The two USB ports and HDMI port are ice features. With the SD card slot you can easily transfer pictures from phone/cameras. The display is crystal clear and the battery life will get you through at least 2.5 movies on an airplane (6+ hours) with Bluetooth and wifi both turned on!

I needed a simple, at-home use laptop. It tends to run the fan, whenever I play videos and the fan is noticeably loud. I have not tried running many virtual machines, which will be my primary use, though I suspect the fan will be blowing then too. But, overall, for the price and size/weight, I am still happy with this laptop.

this computer is a REALLY good deal. i love the size , speed , and quality of this computer ! originally bought a computer from office depot that THEY said was a great deal but what it lacked made it a terrible deal. went to best buy and they really took the time to explain the diffrence between the different computers so i got something i got that fit my needs! crazy to buy anywhere else is my conclusion.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing, and would definitely recommend this 2-in-1 notebook! I wanted something small and fast, and this works well! I also love that the border around the screen is thinner- leaves more screen real-estate which is nice. The only drawback is being isolated to USB-C ports ONLY. There are no USB ports. I knew this going into it, and purchased an adapter.
