Many appreciate its lightweight design, battery life, and size, considering it a good value for the price. Dell - Inspiron 14.0" 2-in-1 Touch Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 7530U - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Lavender Blue The Inspiron 14” 2-in-1 touch Tablet/Laptop is an all in one device for tablet or laptop use. It is loaded with Windows 11 home, which is a little heavy handed for this units specs. There are no activity lights, normal in todays world, but this leaves you to wonder if you didn’t click on something or is it just busy. Most of the time it’s just busy and what you clicked on will open in about 3 to 5 seconds. A 5-cent led indicator that shows when the unit is busy would go a long way towards removing this question. It has an actual mechanical camera shutter cover to ensure the camera is not able to be used. A fingerprint reader for faster windows log on, the keyboard has a good feel and is the right size to be usable. The battery has a good life, after about 4 hours of use the battery went from 100% to 75% with normal use. The unit is capable of light gaming, just don’t push it too hard. Fan noise is acceptable when being used for just web browsing and video watching the fan hardly makes any noise at all. When you open the lid, the unit turns on automatically and boots into Windows really fast. This is the fast startup in Windows. If you do a reboot it takes a bit longer, but you only need to do a reboot when something has changed. The touch pad is very responsive, but the right and left click are kind of hard to deal with because the touch pad area is the full size, meaning if you try and click on something putting your finger on the touch pad to click will make the cursor move slightly. There is no power on light that I could see. It has a charge light that goes out once fully charged but no indicator that it is still on once the screen goes dark. The backlit keyboard is nice, allowing you to use this in lower light situations. The AMD processor has 6 cores and 12 threads with speeds of 2 to 3.7 GHz, according to AMD the fastest speed it can reach is 4.5 GHz but I did not see that. Normal speed sets around 2.5 GHz, and jumps to about 3.2 GHz when being used. The AMD/ATI video chip is not really good enough for any heavy gamming. The processor is a Ryzen 5 7530u. It has a 512 Gb M.2 PCIe SSD and can be upgraded to a larger SSD by removing the bottom cover. The installed SSD is installed with an adapter because it is a small footprint. Removing the adapter and installing a full-size M.2 PCIe SSD should be easy enough. It comes with 8 Gb of ram that I saw no way to upgrade (no slots visible when the bottom cover removed). It has 1 full size HDMI, 2 USB-C 3.2 (one of these ports is used for charging), 1 USB-A 3.2, 1 SD card slot, and a standard headset jack. The touch screen is responsive when Windows is not busy, at times everything seems to stop for a second while Windows finishes what it’s doing in the background. I expect the lag in responsiveness to go away after longer use and Windows settles in. The Wi-Fi 6 is very quick and has no issues staying connected. It also has Bluetooth for the addition of a mouse or other Bluetooth devices. There is no ethernet port for a hard-wired connection to the internet. When I used it with a USB-C port adapter the wired network speed was no better than the wireless. Overall this unit is a good deal but if you need something a litter faster consider spending a little more and getting one with more SSD space, more ram, and a faster processor.

I was happy for the first week then the sound quit working. I took it into the store and they got it working again in a few minutes. My main reason for me being disappointed is I was 12000 miles away when the sound quit working and had to come home to get it fixed.

Dell has consistently built reliable laptops that serve a wide range of users, and their latest offering, the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 in a beautiful Lavender Blue shade, continues to demonstrate this trend. Designed to accommodate diverse needs, this 2-in-1 laptop is an impressive blend of power, portability, and functionality, making it ideal for everything from Microsoft Office tasks to watching online content and photo editing. Powered by AMD Ryzen 5 7530U 6-core/12-thread Processor with Radeon Graphics, the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 is well-equipped to handle multi-threaded tasks smoothly. Windows 11 Home operates as the backbone of the system, providing an intuitive interface and robust software support. The visual experience on the 14.0-inch 16:10 FHD+ (1920 x 1200) touch 250nits WVA Display is certainly pleasing to the eyes. The taller screen coupled with the Dell ComfortView software, which reduces harmful blue light, enables prolonged viewing of your content with minimal eye strain. Whether it's creating a PowerPoint presentation or watching a high-definition movie, this laptop ensures a pleasant and immersive viewing experience. Speaking of the device's physical versatility, the 360° hinge stands out. This allows the device to be used in laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes, adding a layer of convenience to your tasks. Paired with a touchscreen and optional active pen, interaction with your device becomes seamless, making for an excellent user experience, particularly when it comes to more hands-on tasks like photo editing. Storage is not an issue with a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive that ensures swift data transfers and ample room for files and applications. However, note that no Microsoft Office license is included, so you'll have to purchase one separately if you rely heavily on Word, Excel, and other MS Office products. In terms of connectivity, the laptop is equipped with an HDMI 1.4 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, and a Universal Audio Jack, offering diverse connectivity options. An SD card reader is also included, a welcome addition for those who regularly use external storage media or photographers importing photos for editing. The Inspiron 14 2-in-1 goes beyond the basics in facilitating communication. The integrated Widescreen FHD webcam is equipped with a dual digital microphone array, along with background noise-reducing AI, offering superior video calling experiences. A manual camera privacy shutter has been thoughtfully included, offering an extra layer of privacy when the camera isn't in use. Audio quality is impressive with the device's two tuned up-firing speakers which is an interesting way to enhance sound, amplified by audio processing by Dolby Atmos Cores and Waves MaxxAudio Pro. Whether you're on a Teams call or watching a movie, the sound output will more than fit your needs. The Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 also impresses with its battery capabilities. ExpressCharge promises to restore up to 80% battery life within just 60 minutes, a feature that's sure to appeal to those who often find themselves working on the go. In terms of wireless connectivity, the device supports MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922, 2x2, 802.11ax, MU-MIMO, and Bluetooth capabilities, providing you with a stable and fast internet connection. Finally, the device's aesthetics and ergonomics deserve a mention. Its Lavender Blue case is sleek and stylish, and with a starting weight of just 3.48 lb this laptop is quite portable and the perfect size in my opinion. Despite this, it feels robust and sturdy, a testament to Dell's commitment to build quality. Overall this will be a great addition to your daily computing needs.

My unit broke after four months of usage. The boot files became corrupted after I watched a movie for an hour. The point is each unit will differ depending on user and device usage. I will be honest. I was programming and compiling codes on this Dell PC.
