    This Dell 14 7435 2-in-1 is small (14”), but somewhat heavy, Windows 11, 2-in-1 touch screen laptop. This laptop is so versatile - you can flip the screen to different positions all the way to a tablet and use the virtual keyboard in each mode. The virtual keyboard works well and is very responsive. The color of mine is lavender blue, which is a really nice color for a laptop. I’m getting so tired of black laptops. The screen resolution is Full HD and is acceptable. The 8gb of memory is probably not enough for most users. This means that if you have multiple tasks running at the same time, it will run slow, sometimes very slow. Accessing the internet was fairly fast and setting up the WiFi connection was very easy and mine hasn’t lost the connection. Setup of the laptop was simple too - it leads you through the process step by step. It does have a fingerprint reader for a more secure login that recognizes my fingerprint each time. The fan runs most of the time and that can get annoying, but the laptop doesn’t run hot. Setup, though simple, was slow because there were a ton of updates to be done, and each update was extremely slow. As far as the speakers, I found that the speakers cracked every time I listened to Spotify so I ran the audio troubleshooter. Crazy - it turned out it was the left speaker and it was fixed easily. The battery is quick to charge and that charge seems to last a good amount of time. If you’re looking for a laptop for multi-tasking eg spreadsheets, or analysis, while surfing the internet and playing music etc, this laptop is probably not for you. If you’re looking for a versatile small laptop for surfing the internet, taking to school to take notes etc. this could definitely be a good laptop for you.

    Not enough ports… the port for my printer is occupied by its mouse thumb-drive port. Annoying.

    The biggest problem: the computer does not recognize accessories such as a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard regardless of how many times you try. Also the wired mouse is unstable and requires extra clicks to stabilize it and double clicks sometimes for simple workprocessing applications.

    It looked nice at the store, when I got it home and started using it, I felt like the screen was a bit dated. After 2 days the cursor pad started to lag. For the price I expected better.

Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:

      1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
      2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.

    Do your research

    I had bought this laptop for college but after 4 months of using it for school work it began to act up to the point where i could no longer use it since it would shut off out of the blue. Then I took it back to Best buy and they said since it has no warranty they were going to charge me 350 to diagnose it and thats not including any repairs. I advice you to choose another laptop that would actually work.

    Don’t buy this

    Terrible computer. I went to the Geek squad for help just trying to do the initial sign ins. The computer would freeze up completely and stop loading programs. Even after getting help from Geek Squad the computer stopped recognizing the internet connection. I read up on this make and model and many complaints about it randomly stopping or kicking out the internet connection. So I returned this crappy computer. I have used Dell computers for over 20 years but this one is total junk.

    Was SO excited for this laptop and I have had so many issues with the software in less than a year. Very disappointed!
