usless lap top

1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.

3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router, and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:

6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center

Terrible computer times2

First computer had a bad speaker, took it back and got the same computer and there were issues with the fingerprint two days after I got the new one. Returned and went with another brand.

Brand new computer is not usable

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is a decent laptop, and joins the trends of combining two products into one. Design wise, it's a beauty. The build quality is great, and it's slim making it very ideal for small desks or traveling. The lavender blue adds a pop of color and elegance that breaks away from the generic silver and black designs that 80% laptops seem to have. From a technical perspective, the laptop performs as I expected. With 8GB of RAM, this is not a multitasking powerhouse, but it works perfectly fine for everyday needs. Despite the RAM, I am able to transition among applications without issue. The tablet/touchscreen mode has been fantastic for me. The hinges seem durable enough, and the touch display is very responsive. I did wish for the display to be QHD, but not much difference can be noticed between QHD screen and a FHD+ display. Overall, this a uniquely designed laptops that performs respectably. Truthfully, there are some things I wish I could change about it. The 8GB of RAM will limit its longevity. Furthermore, it's integrated memory which means it can't be upgraded in the future. Also, the display maxes out at 1200p which is only 240 pixels away from QHD. Yet, all is not gloom and doom when it comes to this product. Memory management issues are more of an indictment against software creators rather than hardware. Also, there are always tweaks and few changes that can be done to improve performance. The SSD can be upgraded, and the tablet like features make this a great hybrid computer. I do find this computer useful, and I would still recommend it.

Decent mid-range 2-in-1 laptop

Screen is a glossy 1920x1200 touch-screen and can be flipped back to be in "tablet mode". I've been spoiled by OLED screens on other laptops, but this panel is not horrible for a non-OLED panel. Things are a little washed out but by adjusting the display color a little I can get it almost to a point that I am used to. Two USB-C ports, one of which is used for charging by way of a 65 watt USB-C charger. Two USB-A ports, one HDMI port. Weight of the laptop is surprisingly light. Only disappointing item here is that the RAM can not be upgraded as it is soldered onto the motherboard. Keyboard is a little mushy but usable. Backlight is bright enough and can be adjusted High/Low/Off brightness. Touchpad is nice, large and very responsive. Hinges for the screen are a little stiff but not too stiff. I suspect they will loosen up over time so that it can be opened with one hand. Fingerprint reader is a little finicky - I always have to have it scan my finger twice - never seems to take it on the first try (still better than having to type passwords every time!). Unfortunately I've not had the opportunity to get the battery life a respectable test as every time I get to using it for a little while I end up plugging it back in so it's full when I have to walk out the door with it. Works well with Arch Linux and Windows 11.

Terrible laptop even though I did "My Research"

Machine defected out of the box
