Many appreciate its lightweight design, battery life, and size, considering it a good value for the price. However, some users point out that the RAM is not upgradable and that the fan can be noisy at times. A few also mention challenges with the fingerprint reader and limited USB ports.

Typical Dell Excellence, BUT….
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all Dells, this little PC is a workhorse combining speed and exceptionally well designed hardware to support it. However, I find that “something” is lacking, and that “something” is difficult to put my finger on. The touch screen varies between too responsive in laptop mode and not responsive enough for my tastes in tablet mode. I was also quite disappointed to find that when in “tent” mode, the camera image does not automatically adjust itself to right side up, so you can video conference only in laptop or tablet mode. The keyboard is great, and honestly as large as is possible with a 14” screen, but it leaves my hands feeling cramped, regardless. It IS extremely lightweight and no issues there at all. The hinges are heavy duty, but that is to the good as you really want them to last a long time. However it makes putting it into tablet mode feel a bit awkward. Finally, having only previously worked with MS Surface 2-in-1’s, it never occurred to me how intrusive it would be to use a tablet with a keyboard on the back. With a Surface, the entire screen section removes as a separate unit when in tablet mode. I find that I am reluctant to use it in tablet mode for that reason. None of these are highly significant issues, but they were sufficient for me to reduce my rating from 5 to 4 stars. Be advised if you wish to buy this model, the size and the tablet functions will be disappointing no matter how much you think they might not be.

Nice buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my mom. Her previous computer took almost an hour just to fully load upon start. So this was a very economical purchase that affords her the luxury of having a quick moving up to date computer with nice graphics and a battery that keeps a good charge while off the charger. She uses it for her personal and so far she LOVES it!

Nice, but only 8gb these days??
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kind of love this, but at the same time don't totally recommend it. The display is beautiful, it's nice to type on, trackpad works great, speakers aren't bad. The CPU is good. My only issue is the memory. It's not expandable or replaceable. 8gb is terrible. Brand new it comes with so much bloatware from dell that it was using 7 of the 8gb of memory just sitting idle. I got all the updates, drivers, bios, etc and removed everything dell related and disabled a few windows bloatware bits and got it down to around 4.5gb used out of 8. I have the AMD ryzen 5 varient so I went to amd's website and got the autodownloader for all the amd drivers. There was a lot of updates. At least now there's some free memory for other apps. Other than the memory thing, it's a great design. I love the size and tablet mode is awesome. The SSD is changable fortunately. It comes with a smaller one, 2230 sized I believe, but looks like a 2280 would fit which is good news for when that day comes. I like things that are repairable and upgradable. This isn't that! But I got it open box at a great price and wanted it mostly for the tablet abilities and it's fantastic now that I got the memory issue under control. In my opinion in 2023/2024, no computer especially one of this price range should have less than 12gb of memory. It's good for a light user, but I'd recommend software debloating if you need to do much more than that. If you can afford it, go for the ryzen 7, 1tb ssd, 16gb model. MUCH better for the price difference. Especially if you're lucky enough to catch a sale or open box deal!

A nice computer if you need one for day to day us.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not too heavy, relatively quiet while in use, big screen and keyboard space is nice. I went from a Microsoft Surface Pro to this and I don’t really miss my old computer as this one is almost one to one with it in the ways I use it, the surface can become a large tablet, but this on can have its screen “bend” to become to touch screen tablet when needed.

The one thing I will say there are not enough laptop covers for this model very hard to find one that actually fits.

Dell - Inspiron 14.0" 2-in-1 great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Dell - Inspiron 14.0" 2-in-1 Touch Laptop to replace a 17” Dell Inspiron I have had since 2015. It was time to downsize to a newer, smaller laptop that was just a dependable as my old one. So far, I’ve been really pleased with my purchase. The size is perfect and it’s light weight. I like the fact that it can be used like a tablet and the fact that it has touch screen. Oh and I love the blue lavender color.

One TB of cloud storage included. Fast LT with enough power for home office. Would have liked extra USB port but still very functional. Price was amazing at $495 plus SW. Can be used as note pad as well, nice feature.!

Reliable and fits my needs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It does quick books and internet surfing like I need it to. It's light and lasts about 6-8 hours, which is perfect. It's small enough to carry around in a backpack. The power cord is a USB-C which is easily accessible, and can even be recharged using a portable power bank. It's been a good purchase.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a web developer, so I often have several applications running at the same time and multiple browser tabs open as well. So far, the Dell Inspiron 14 2 in 1 touch laptop has met my needs. Only occasionally do I hear the fan come on but this laptop runs cool. I wish it had more USB inputs, but other than that, its a great laptop.

||Posted .
