This Dell laptop offers impressive speed, but its exterior can wear down faster than expected. Given the price point, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Do not buy. The system itself works well but the quality of the design is flawed. I have never used it as a tablet and I do not use the touch screen. The laptop barely leaves my home (I have an online business) and has never been dropped or mistreated. This is my first Dell and it did not make it to 1 year. For context, I still have all my old laptops from a different brand and they all still work from 10+ years ago. I upgraded to get better system specs but this is a mistake. I will not purchase again.

Over the years, Dell has become one of the premium brands in computing. They've been in the game since 1984, but in the early 2000s, their name became a known brand. They have done a lot for the laptop market. Their XPS OLED series is one of, if not the best, laptop PCs. My main laptop is the core of my workstation, the XPS15, so I have recent experience with Dell tech. That laptop is by far my favorite I've ever owned. It's a powerhouse but retails for more than $2500! I feel uncomfortable throwing it around the house or traveling with it less, so I was looking for another laptop to handle my needs with traveling. This 2-IN-1 Dell is more than capable of competing with the XPS in most categories. It's very light, portable, and has the specs to handle almost anything you throw at it. On board are an Intel 13th generation Core i7, 16 gigs of RAM, and a 14-inch FHD touchscreen (1920 x 1200). All this in a 3.2lb laptop! This will meet most people's needs for school, work or play. But keep in mind that this isn't a gaming PC. This will only handle a few current-gen games or spec-heavy classics. The screen is bright enough, but with only 250 nits, I'd love to see it be brighter when used outside. I plan on using it outside sparingly, but for those who travel and like to have a meal or coffee outside a restaurant, this will need to be more bright to enjoy. However, for my needs, it works well. It's far from my XPS OLED, looks-wise, but again, this laptop is less than half the price, so I can only expect it to meet some things. It only has one USB port, which many reviews have stated is a shame, but for me, one is enough. I don't see why more is always better, but I could understand when someone may have multiple sticks for multiple reasons. I've used it to write on, and the keyboard is comfortable. It doesn't include a number pad, but that's not a big deal. If I had a job with a lot of number crunching, I'd look elsewhere for the number pad, but it's an enjoyable writing experience. The keyboard is backlit too, which is a must for me when I write at night with a lot of the lights down. A lot of times, with tablets and laptops, the audio needs to be improved. However, I was shocked to hear how well this thing sounds! There won't be much bass, but the sound is crisp and loud enough to enjoy when you don't have speakers. I like listening with headphones, but knowing I don't have to is excellent. This laptop has been great for me. I love the versatility and specs it comes with. I'm not afraid of trashing it while traveling. Get a case for it, but other than that, don't worry about it scratching much because the lid is different from what you'd find on a lot of other laptops that are premium but scratch easily. This is worth the asking price. Dell does a solid job balancing different specs and features to make it more affordable, and they hit the mark here.

This item is structurally inferior. I rec'd this unit on March 28, 2024. It spends its life on my desk being opened to start the day and closed at the end of the day. Today Aug. 5 2024 I opened the unit and screen at the right hand hinge shattered. Upon further examination the hinge failed move and became very stiff. Much to my surprise, clearly a mfg. problem, is not covered under warranty according to Best Buy. Upon further conversation I found out this is quite normal part failure. I don't recommend any Dell that has this hinge configuration.

I have Dell as my company's laptop and they're very durable, so I bought this one for a family friend and my sister since the spec looks great. It was fine initially then suddenly one of them cracked and lost touch screen function, while the other straight-up cracked the corner. They're college students so very light use and no dropping/spilling. Hardware issues also aren't covered by Dell warranty so I have to pay $80 to ship out the laptop for repair, might cost more to repair them. Extremely disappointed and would never buy from Dell again. Lenovo is also horrible but at least their service is free.

This laptop is an absolute piece of junk. Bought it as a personal pc and within 4 months of light use (video games, emails, some netflix) I went to shut it from the top corner and the bottom hinge came out of alignment, cracking the screen. Currently dealing with Dell to get it fixed but DO NOT BUY THIS. Cheaply made, and similar issues to what other reviewers have mentioned

fEW DAYS since I bought it form the store, and ever since then its giving issues. WIFI keeps disconnecting itself, does not connects back no matter what network you are on or try. The only option for it to work is RESTART THE device. and Shutting down also is of no help... JUST RESTART fixes the issue until next time. Talked to BB they want me to pay to get this fixed as its been 18 days since i purchased it.... ANNOYING AND BAD EXPERIENCE WITH bESTbuy AND DELL

What a great refresh to an already reliable line of workhorse laptops! The 2023 refreshed Dell Inspiron 14” 2-in-1 has everything you need to work, browse and even play. The 13th generation Intel Core i7 1355U offers plenty of horsepower while still managing to sip power for a reported 8 hours of battery life. A speedy 16GB of RAM is plenty to get most day to day tasks handled, including watching HD video, web browsing, and even some mild gaming with the integrated Iris graphics. The gen4 Kioxia 1TB SSD is a nice touch, giving you plenty of fast storage space. The keyboard and touchpad are comfortable to type on and the overall build quality of the laptop is good. Chassis flex is as expected with a plastic build, but the device doesn’t feel cheap and seems solid. Overall style is simple and professional. In terms of performance, the Dell Inspiron 14.0" 2-in-1 Touch Laptop is fast, but may struggle under maximum load for prolonged periods. During some benchmarking with Cinebench R23, the CPU almost immediately temp throttled down to handle the heat. Temperature management might be one of the weak spots of this unit. Regardless, playing Minecraft, the CPU managed to perform acceptably, and temperatures stayed within reason. Getting some mild gaming in with E-Sport titles and older games seems like a totally reasonable expectation. Overall, I’m not disappointed at all with what this powerful 14” 2-in1 can do at a reasonable price point.

The quality of laptop is worst screen hinges broken after minimum usage,i have tried contacting support they say warranty don’t cover and best buy even doesn’t help with the issues

Laptop is everything it says. Bright responsive touch screen and pad. Responsive keyboard. Friendly salesperson. Long battery life. Light yet sturdy. All peripheral docks work flawlessly. Win 11 OS Home edition. Has a lot of RAM memory (16GB) as well as storage capacity (1TB). Good price on an open box item that was inpristine condition. Very satisfied with purchase. Would recommend to others.

I needed a new computer because my existing computer died irretrievably. I wanted a computer that would take me through at least the next 5 years. Therefore a near current CPU and 16GB of RAM were high on the list. I also wanted a lightweight device with a clear 14" screen. As a touch typist, I also wanted a responsive keyboard. After a brief test drive of different machines in roughly the same price range, I settled on the Dell. Setup and customization was a breeze as my preferred configuration was already stored in one of my cloud drives. Everything I had on my old machine is up and running on my Dell. What more can you want from a new device? I should note are stored in the cloud, I really didn't need the 1TB of SSD since all over my files are stored in various clouds and I have less than 256 MB of data anyway. I guess the 1 TB ensures I can keep local copies of everything on my device. I also have no interest in using a touch screen, so the 2-in-1 feature played no part in my decision.

The Dell Inspiron 14" 2-In-1 Touch Laptop is a powerful small laptop. I needed a small portable computer for my college classes and this is perfect for my needs. It is quick to boot up, and has plenty of storage. I wanted at least 8 GB of RAM and I ended up with 16GB of RAM. I am usually running several programs at the same time and this computer handles the load with ease. I especially like that the hard drive is a SSD so there is less chance of it failing. The only drawback is the number of available USB ports. My solution was to purchase a small 4-port USB Hub so I can plug in my external hard drive to back up my data and doggle for my the external keyboard and mouse I like to use when I'm working at home. I haven't used the touch screen very much yet so I can't really critique that. I bought it on sale and saved $150.00.
