    Hardware failure one week out of warranty

    The laptop worked great for one year and one week before it needed a new motherboard, which was one week out of warranty. Dell was unyielding with the warranty (no grace period) and could not sell me a motherboard ( I assume others have a similar issue and the stock is depleted). I got the part number from the Dell service representative and there were no available aftermarket parts.

    Horrible Laptop

    Pathetic. My laptop reboots whenever i close the lid to put it to sleep. It reboots and prompts that Windows couldnt load correctly. When you try to do advanced repair, it fails again and then reboots. As such, all the work you left open is lost due to this poor piece of tech from Dell. The mouse touchpad also freezes and so does the desktop.

      Here are the steps to help resolve your touchpad issue:
      1. Ensure the touchpad and your finger do not have any dirt, grease, liquids, or food on them (the touchpad has to make good contact with your finger to work correctly).
      2. Ensure that the touchpad is turned on.
      3. Save any data, close any open programs and restart the computer by using a wired USB mouse (if available) or Bluetooth mouse if it is already installed, if not, press hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to turn the computer off.
      4. Unplug everything except the power cable.
      5. Turn the computer back on and retest the touchpad.
      6. When the cursor does work correctly, attach one device at a time, and test the cursor movement to see which one may have caused the issue.
      7. Ensure that the BIOS and Chipset drivers are updated to the latest version.

    Yellow Screen

    I bought the Dell 14' 2-1, and everything was fine however the screen had a yellow tint i couldn't get rid of. I exchanged maybe 3 different laptops and they all had the same issue. I ended up returning the laptop all together. Super disappointed.

    Never again a DELL product

    Be careful with DELL products. My brand new Dell Inspiron laptop came with a faulty operating system, and Dell's support won't help, stating that the OS is not covered under warranty. This happened mainly in the login option with fingerprint, pin and face recognition, which are not available for further settings.
